I stayed at the Royalton Chic from 7/17/25-7/22/25 Over all Id give it a 3/5. The resort itself appeared clean and kept. But you can definable tell it’s pretty old. I stay on the 1st floor of building 5. The room I stayed it was a single King bed. The room appeared very lived in. Wall defects, scratches and dents on the furniture surfaces. The check-in process was seamless as I arrived around 4pm. I was given my room Key right away and escorted to my room. The food 😬. What can I say….it was All inclusive resort food. But I was able to pick from the variety items that suited me as I am not a picky eater. The best restaurant was Tandori in my opinion. It was the Indian restaurant. There weren’t really any chaises for late night eats from what I could tell. I didn’t even bother with room service and I request ICE twice and the first time it never came, and the 2nd time it took over an hr. The Sushi restaurant was closed for renovations. I was a bit of an eye sore I must say. But they used to Buffet to supplement. The service was great! Marcos at the pool Bar was amazing! He took care of my guest and I the entire time. Even made sure we remembered to eat in between the day drinking lol. Gustavo was also great Marcos. The pool music was Meh….. so I often brought my portable speaker around with me. The resort entertainment was meh. But I’m not really into generic dance shows and things like that. But people seamed to be entertained! The WiFi was suitable.

Title: Serious Health Concerns – Please Be Cautious I stayed at Royalton CHIC Punta Cana and returned home this past Tuesday. Unfortunately, shortly after returning, I was hospitalized due to severe stomach pain and diarrhea. I was diagnosed with two serious bacterial infections: Salmonella and Shigella, which have caused me intense pain and a very difficult recovery. I strongly urge future guests to stay away from the seafood at this resort. In my experience, I noticed that leftover food from the night before appeared to be reused the next morning, which is highly concerning for food safety. Additionally, I observed at the main bar that the bartenders were rinsing dirty cups in murky water and reusing them for customers. I personally left a drink at the bar after being handed a visibly dirty glass. While I was sick, my friends who did not eat any seafood remained healthy, which only strengthens my belief that the issue may have come from cross-contamination or improper food handling related to the seafood. Please be extremely cautious about what you eat and drink at this resort. No vacation is worth the pain and health consequences I’ve experienced. I’m sharing this to help others avoid what I’ve gone through. I hope the resort takes serious steps to address these issues for the safety of future guests.

We wanted to at least give this property and average rating, however it did not meet average expectations. Food was just fair/first resort that I was actually hungry do to the condition of the food. All of the waiters and bartenders were great/our Butler Joan was awesome he helped our stay be more tolerable/ the resort is very slippery and has a design that is not very safe/2 in our party fell and hurt themselves. We were with a group of 14 everyone had a great time as vacation is what you make it- there is a vibe and the shows are good. The staff (males are friendly) can not say the same for the females they actually seemed to be bothered if asked for anything. I can not in good conquence refer this resort to anyone. We stayed from July 12-17 Pool was nice and clean/ate at all the resturants very average/room service NOPE and diamond club made our trip more tolerable but will say I do not think it was worth the extra cost. Doesnt seem like Marriot has a good handle on this one which was disappointing.

At this property there has been many issues. This was for 1 additional day. Due to when we arrived on 17jul we did not lay down until 12 midnigtfrom havinf to switch rooms duebto water damaged with the floor. Thats a whole other story. With this stay in this room it was signs of water damage an mold in the room vents an bathroom. I took plenty of pictures an will be sending to corporate. Thiley did notbhave towels in the room an the never restocked the mini bar from the last customer stay. They even had a half frank soda still in it. The food at the buffet was nasty an dry like it sits out. The only restaurants good was the steakhouse. Not the best but it was ok. The lights in The entire resorts turnes off 5-6 different times. The last time was at 930p at dinner. This has been the worse experience i have have ever had at a resort an on vacation. I feel like the staff was careless an like this its normal.

The property is in SERIOUS need of an update!!! Things were rusty and cracked in my room. Saw areas that needed paint and a serious scrub. The check in process is very slow, and chaotic and needs to be streamlined. Spent about 45 minutes trying to check in. The staff is friendly however, many lack basic English skills so it's hard as a customer to communicate your needs. Overall 5/10. More than likely will not be staying here again.

One man just said I wasn’t gonna get charged for something and they never put it in the system so I had to pay to get out. Had service refused to serve.
