Outside the long stone terrace is surrounded by colourful borders of pale-yellow rose bushes and vibrant pots of geraniums. Steps from the terrace lead down to the sheltered lawn, enjoy meals out on long summer evenings as the sun sets and light fades. There are two small ponds with seating areas just beyond the house, from these peaceful vantage points choughs, red kites, cormorants and buzzards can be spotted and dragonflies hovering over the still waters.
