The only good thing about this hotel was the location. We booked this hotel because the pictures looked very nice but when we got there ot was not even close to the pictures, old carpets, bed sheet had a hole, bathroom's door was faling from one side and there was spider web in one corner But it was a very good location

The location,in the heart of Vieux Quebec Citie was great, the staff .(Slvan ,Harris _mgr,Great). Disappointed in the room ,tiny, cramped , uncomfortable bed,no regular closet,During check in I asked for a bigger room ,but because we were staying 5 days , the staff couldnt change it The bathroom was modern, worked fine. Cleanliness , they didnt vacuum under the bed/rug was dirty , not enough towels .No breakfast available on site I realize that it an old structure, but it could use some "sprucing -up'. The Valet parking attendant damaged my rental car, However the Mgr-Harris , DID Address the matter with the rental Company and DID personally apologize to me ,Twice. I I would ask for/reserve a bigger room ,next time .

Dear guest, Thank you very much for taking the time to share with us your experience at our property. We are really happy that our staff made a great job. Being in bicentenary buildings it's true that all our rooms are different with their own features. As well a daily cleaning should be made to keep rooms clean. Finally, we are sorry that our valet damaged your car and hopefully everything will be fine with the whole situation. Best regards,

Great Location. Staff was excellent. Small European style hotel with narrow halls and stairs. Room was very comfortable.

Liked the quaintness and location but housekeeping lacked timeliness. Also front desk staff did not appear helpful to non French speaking patrons.

Good morning, Thank you for the review and for choosing our hotel for your stay in Old Quebec. we are sorry about your dissatisfaction. Usually, our cleaning staff is doing a good job and it's always on time. As you know we are really busy during the winter Carnival and maybe this is the reason why it was given on late. Finally, all our front desk memebers are English speakers and are giving the same experience to all our guests. Best regards, Haris

Location was wonderful!!! Parked our car on Tues and didn’t use it until we left on Sun. Hotel was an older one and knew from the reviews that it had it’s problems when we booked it. It had character and was comfortable. Problems- room was hot, had to put on air conditioner or open windowand shower sometimes alternated between hot and cold. Minor problem was that bath towels are very small. Bigger problem was that we could have saved money booking trough the hotel directly and not going through Travelocity. Called customer service and I was promised an email from Travelocity but never received one.

Excellent hotel in Old Quebec - not far from train

Pros: Very clean and comfortable. Many things nearby within walking distance.
Cons: Breakfast buffet could have more options. It was good and hearty - but not a lot of variety.
I really enjoyed my stay in Hotel Acadia. It is in the heart of the tourist action in the old part of Quebec and was within 10 mins walking distance from the ViaRail Canada train station. I was able to walk to the starting point of my Quebec Town and Country Sight-Seeing Tour. Took about 5 mins. Then I did a day trip to Montreal and getting to and from the train station from this hotel was very easy. Room was very comfortable and clean and was pretty quiet at night. I would definitely consider staying there again when I come back to visit Quebec in the future.

Nice Hotel in Old Quebec City

Pros: See above paragraph.
Location: If arriving via cruise ship, it is good to know in advance that you need to take a taxi to get away from the dock area. Not a problem.
Our suite (120) was in the old/original section building which added a LOT to the charm. Hotel lobby staff (especially Haris and Louis) were professional, friendly, and helpful. We arrived several hours early for check-in, but they kindly put our luggage into a locked room for such purposes and helped us plan our walking exploration of the area (we did not rent a vehicle). From the hotel, we walked downhill for a couple of blocks to the major cross street where everything was happening -- shopping, eateries, pharmacy, theater, historic buildings and landmarks, etc. Just remember that when walking back to the hotel you will be climbing uphill so be prepared. Also, note that the hotel has no elevator and the stairs are narrow but quite manageable if one has no physical limitations. The small deck on the roof was perfect for enjoying a cool sunny afternoon. If we are ever in QC again, we hope to stay there again! Merci, Hotel Acadia!

Right inside the old city walls

Pros: We liked the clean, well-appointed room in an old stone building. We asked for a quiet room, and got one. The location was great.
Cons: The business of parking can be confusing.
Location: The location is near many, many restaurants, and shops, and all the historic sites.
The room was nicely decorated, clean, and convenient. Breakfast was a very good buffet at Le Feu Sacre, a restaurant around the block. If you book through Hotel Acadia's web site, breakfast is included. If you don't, it's $10. So we explored other restaurants the next two days. Parking is not included, so you must pay $20, and use their valet, whom you tip, and tip another porter who brings your bags to your room while your car is being parked. Or you can park at a public parking lot for $18 a day. This may be true at all the hotels within the city walls, but I would investigate. The hotel is within walking distance of everything.
