What a special place! My room was spotless and the staff were warm, kind, and attentive, and always willing to help with whatever I needed. The setting is fabulous - right on the ocean with a magnificent pool. The sea breeze was delightfully cooling as we ate delicious meals in the restaurant. The small raft was a super fun way to access the hotel when we arrived, and added to the tropical adventure atmosphere.

It should be maintained well. Cleanliness is nill and food is not nice and quality too. Ordered a burger on A la carte and the burger bun was just a ball of flour. French fries were over cooked. Salt & Pepper holdings were so dirty. Stayed hungry at that night and as there were no any restaurants close by. Had cockroaches in bathroom and bedroom.Gully was full of rustic. Was a horrible stay. Never recommend for any.

No acceptable plug-ins for our phones. No adapters available at the reception. Had the farthest room from the center. Hot water only available after mid-day due to solar heating. Meal hours very limited.

Beautiful. Kind staff. Breakfast served too late.

Lovely and spacious room but some path construction made it a bit confusing getting to it. Breakfast started at 7:30am which made it difficult for us to get an early start on our bikes. Given the heat, it made it difficult to complete our scheduled arrival 90 km north. We asked if we could start breakfast early but they did not allow this. So I would recommend this place for people needing an early start on the day. The food was delicious though! I loved the Sri Lankan dishes they served. There was a school group there, from Colombo, that took over the beautiful pool for quite a while. The staff was helpful at getting us to a bike repair shop in town. So the staff was extremely kind to us during our stay.

Getting into hotel is awesome! Staff is very friendly and helpfull. Wifi works only in lobby and is very terrible :( Food is just ok. Overall nice experience, but pictures looks waaaay better than reality.

Location and privacy great. The rooms and bathrooms were clean. Towels had old stains.Pool deck needed repairs. Buffet was ok, selection was not good. It needs to be changed daily. The barbecue was overcooked. Nightly music was awful needs to be up lifting. There was only one band of trio that was good. Would stay again due to the private location. Hotel needs to enforce swim wear at pool. People should not be able to wear street clothes.

Nice place with a big pollutionproblem

I liked the resort and its freindly staff,but very sad is all that garbage and plasicbottles in the mangroves and even on the resorts beach. Therefore i cant recommend the place.

Nice Hotel BUT Terrible Service

This hotel is situated 45 mins from airport, hotel can arrange transfer for $30. Hotel is lovely, reached via a raft over the lake, which is very peaceful and a unique way to reach a hotel. Hotel is situated on the beach and the rooms are well appointed with good air con and very comfortable beds. However the service at this hotel is appalling, firstly we went for lunch at the restaurant where one of our group was brought a beer glass full of sand. Then when we went for our evening meal we asked to order off the menu rather than having the buffet which looked like a battle of who could get their food first. 20 mins after ordering we were told the steaks we ordered were not available as they were frozen and needed to be thawed - we were surprised they freeze their steak in the first place. We then changed our orders to the mixed grill which took a further hour to arrive, when the food came an hour and 20 mins later, it was all over cooked and not edible. We asked for a refund on the food as we were not happy to pay and didn’t eat it but the duty manager said a refund could not be offered. After a lengthy discussion with him and a phone call to his boss, he finally agreed to refund of 50% on the food bill. The only person who has any customer service skills at this hotel is a young man who was working on the check in desk, who was very helpful and understanding of the situation. There is no where else to eat around this hotel - all prices are in £ or € on menu.
