Big Mountain Cabins is centrally located in the Black Hills, just a few miles from Keystone. We are minutes from many of the Black Hills main attraction, like Mount Rushmore, Bear Country, Custer State Park, Reptile Gardens, 1880 Train, and Crazy Horse. Hike Boulder Hill Trail, Storm Mountain Trail, Flume Trail, and the Strato Bowl. Enjoy a day at the lake like Sheridan, and Pactola. If you are looking to stay in a cabin just a short drive to all the attractions. Then Big Mountain Cabins is where you want to stay!

Cabin #3 offers a kitchen stocked with dinner ware, pot and pan, utensils, toaster, coffee maker, and outdoor grill. Rest on a king size ultra-luxury hybrid plush mattress on the main floor, and two queen size ultra-luxury hybrid plush mattresses in the loft. This cabin also has a fully furnished bathroom with a full tub and shower, towels and linens are provided.

For all you hiking enthusiasts, this cabin is close to many national forest trails including Boulder Hill Mountain Trail. This trail head is 2.2 miles from Cabin #3. And for all you mountain bike enthusiasts, this cabin is 2 miles from Storm Mountain Trail. Storm Mountain trail offers 11.61 miles of pure fun!

ADDITIONAL DETAILS:
- Our cabins are on a hillside and there is only enough parking for one vehicle. If you have a extra vehicle, trailer, or motorcycle please message us before you make your reservation.
- If you are riding on a motorcycle, we ask that you be an experienced rider. The road to the cabins are loose gravel with three switchbacks. If you have any questions please message us.

We had an amazing stay as a family in South Dakota. The cabin worked out really well and is close to many things around the Black Hills! Such a beautiful cabin and location. Owners have built this themselves, and it shows such great craftsmanship! Super responsive and communicative. Comfortable beds as well! Definitely would stay here again if we ever make it back!

Great Cabin!

The cabin fit our family of 5 perfectly! The hosts were very good answering any questions and making sure we had everything that we needed. We were very happy with how clean the cabin was. The location was great with short distances to Keystone & Hill City. I would definitely recommend staying in these cabins!

This was the nicest vrbo we have ever stayed at. Not only was the cabin immaculate but the owner was easy to communicate with and helpful. The place was just out of the rush of Rapid City, but close to all the major sights. We hope to be back again.

Mountain Peacefulness

We truly loved our stay at Big Mountain Cabins. Our communication with Jenn was so easy & quick. The cabin was exactly the way the pictures portrayed. The cabin had an awesome view from the front porch. We loved the pine logs on the ceiling. The only thing I would recommend is shelving above the coffee pot for the guest's spices & oil. We hope to visit again, in the future.

Vacationing and viewing the sights

The accommodations were great, everything was there that we needed and everything from checking through departure went smoothly. The log home atmosphere fits perfectly with the area and the site allows you to feel like you are living the experience of the environment. I would definitely recommend it to others.

Great Family Spot for a Black Hills Adventure

We loved this cabin in the hills as our home base for exploring the Black Hills and all the sites in the area! The loft was a great spot for our kids to have a space of their own. Cozy clean cabin!

This was the perfect home base for our adventures in Custer and Rapid City! Beautifully crafted log cabin. Super clean and fresh, comfortable beds, well stocked kitchen and bathroom. Plenty of room for 6, so the 4 of us spread out. Our two teen boys loved having the loft to themselves!

Wonderful cabin! Great location, scenic views, and comfortable beds!!

Everything felt clean and new. It was a great location that allowed us to see all the major sites in the beautiful Black Hills area. Beds were SO comfortable! Jen let us check in early once our room was ready and was responsive to questions. Our only minor “complaint” was we wish the stovetop was a little larger and a maybe a few more pans. We loved having the outdoor grill and it worked well. Overall, highly recommend. We loved our stay!!!

This cabin was perfect (and adorable and clean) for our family of four and was centrally located which allowed us to enjoy all the activities that we had planned to do while in the Black Hills. Fantastic property

We had a wonderful time at this charming cabin. Everything was clean, new, functional, and cisually appealing. The beds were great! The best beds we've ever had in a hitel or short-term rental. Peaceful location, and the kids loved the little playground. We would love to come back again.
