First off, there was tons of parking when we got to the hotel after 10pm and we could park close to the entrance which was great when it was -42. The guy that check us in was the best. He had a great personality and had us all laughing and realized the room they had set aside for us wasn’t in the greatest location so he moved us to a better room. Rooms were clean and beds were comfy. We spent a couple hours in the casino, all staff in there were great as well. Will definitely be back.

I was quite excited to stay here. It was a massive disappointment-there are better places in town. We had booked a king room and were put in a random wing that was not accessible (needed to go up steps with all our gear) and then we were just expected to be OK with the hotel having an unlocked and unclosed exterior door at the end of the hall. It smelled like smoke and then a person who appeared to be on drugs came into the hallway through the door. Our king room was nothing like in the description. The lightshades were cracked and mismatched. When I went to request a room change at the front desk, the staff member made it seem like I was unreasonable for having an issue with the room and poor security. We went to go to the pool later and there was no clear way in. The door to go in was “out of order.” After going around the area a few times, we were directed to go through the “administrative office doors” to get to the pool, taking us through a sketchy area of discarded chairs, foosball table and draperies. It felt dim and unsafe but we powered through to go to the pool and found an unremarkable pool that was one meter in depth for the whole thing. Not fun. The tile surrounding the pool and in the hot tub was dirty looking and run down. The breakfast was supposed to be included with my booking. I went to the breakfast restaurant which the person checking me in did not tell me about. I hadn’t received the voucher for breakfast. Back to the front desk.

Poor quality accommodation for the price
Tile in entry and bathroom had stained grout but much of grout has broken away leaving deep pockets for bacteria and mold growth. Bathroom vanity had dried crud on countertop. Stains on ceiling above toilet with brown streaks running down wall and on tile behind toilet. This came off easily with damp towel so I don't know if housekeeping staff are not cleaning or it is an ongoing leakage problem from the toilet above. Bathroom wallpaper peeling and door has chips and cracks. There was also a fairly large hole in the drywall beside the room entrance door. The toilet paper holder in the bathroom was 3 1/2 feet away from the toilet making it very difficult to reach once seated. The rooms also have no USB plugins for charging cell phones. Seriously, an inexpensive plug-in power unit could solve this problem quickly. I expected a LOT better from this hotel considering the price of the room. Bed and pillows were comfortable. Room temperature easy to control. Food and staff at restaurant were excellent. Room was very noisy from hallway and adjacent room noise but that may have been due to a large group of children at hotel.
