Everyone was so friendly & helpful! Julia & Martina were the two I had most contact with, and they were great! Friendly. courteous, answered any questions we had....they are a credit to the hotel!! All of the other staff were exceptional, as well!! The hotel is very clean and quiet. The rooms are very comfortable, light, clean, & quite large. Breakfast was also wonderful. The staff kept the dining area neat & tidy. They kept the buffet counter very clean & neat, as well. Everyone is very accomodating. I will stay here again, next time I'm in Reykjavik.

STAY AWAY!!! RUN AS FAR AS YOU CAN!!! I arrived & was given my key to my room. I went to the room which I knew in advance was small but this was horribly small. Choose to either have your suitecase open or sleep. But then I went into the bathroom. If I sat on toilet my knees were in bedroom. After seeing the size of the bathroom I decided to even see if the shower would work. I had to SQUEEZE by the toilet to get to the shower (moldy!!) & close bathroom door in order to close the shower door. .then never expect to shower due to I was unable to raise my arms! I am not fat - 5 ft 9 1/2 inches tall & I could not shower! Then there was someone outside the building smoking and it seeped into my room & filled it with smoke making me leave ! 25 min after checking in I tried to check out. I am allergic to mold & smoke & I needed to be able to take a shower. They never addressed the mold & smoke issue & said their was a public pool about 1 mile down the road I could go use for showers. Are you kidding me?! I pay for a room & you say I should go down the street to a public shower?! They did not care about my allergies either. I asked for a refund due to I would have to go to another hotel last minute. They refused. I said can you cancel my next 3 nights -they refused. I had to use my souvenier & food money to pay for a different hotel that would not affect my health. HORRIBLE. HORRIBLE PLACE! RUN AS FAR AWAY AS YOU CAN FROM HERE!!! CAN'T STRESS THAT ENOUGH! RUN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Maria and the staff were very helpful. From Helping us out with chargers to good breakfast. There was one day though that our room Was not cleaned and towels were not changed. Otherwise, a wonderful place to stay with warm and helpful staff.

The host of Hotel Lotus are probably the best and nicest host I ever met through my travel experience. In general, Iceland folks are extremely nice and polite and English speaking friendly. But the host really make you felt at home. She is so kind and nice and provide any help and information that you may need during the traveling. She give you warning when the weather condition get bad; she told you where you can see the northern light without travel long; she share the local attractions that you won't find in the travel web site; and she helps you find out the 24x7 gas station for your convenient. And she make new DELICIOUS cake every morning for her breakfast collection. My daughter and I absolutely love her breakfast.

I loved the staff at the front desk. They were very kind n helpful. I liked the price n breakfast included. I liked that it was a quiet hotel n in a quiet area. It was two mile walk into downtown thoo. Bt the staff told us about a bus right out front. We walked a lot bt , would take bus back.
