The Space:
• Indoor Relaxation: Cozy up by the wood stove with a book, enjoy movie nights on the large TV, or unwind in the hot tub.
• Rainy Day Fun: Enjoy memorable game nights with friends and family. In the unheated garage, you’ll also find both a foosball and ping pong table ready for your enjoyment.
• Kitchen & Dining: Kitchen with a refrigerator, stove, oven, microwave and dishwasher for easy cleanup.
• Extended Stays: Laundry room with washer and dryer for convenience.
• Primary Suite is located on the main floor with a TV and workspace.
• Spa-like en suite bath includes a walk-in shower with a built-in bench and a soaking tub with forest views.
• Guest Rooms: Upstairs bedrooms share a full bath.
• Like the houses in my neighborhood, this house is on a water well system! While we don't experience many, during an event of a power outage, please be aware that will cause us to not have water as well.

The Neighborhood:
Tucked away in the charming community of Rhododendron, this lodge offers a peaceful retreat surrounded by the natural beauty of the Mt. Hood National Forest. Near local dining and conveniences, it’s the perfect balance of seclusion and accessibility. Outdoor lovers will enjoy nearby hiking trails, while skiers and snowboarders can hit the slopes of Mt. Hood at Skibowl and Timberline. With its welcoming small-town atmosphere and breathtaking scenery, Rhododendron makes the ideal base for your mountain getaway year-round.
Getting Around:
🚶 Walking — This mountain retreat is nestled in the Mt. Hood area, surrounded by nature. While not a walkable urban setting, the peaceful surroundings and outdoor recreation more than make up for it.
🚗 Driving — A car is recommended for getting around. The area is well connected via US-26. Free parking at the property.
🏔️ Recreation — Explore Mt. Hood ski resorts, hiking trails, and the Sandy River. The charming town of Sandy is a drive away for groceries, dining, and supplies.
✈️ Airport — PDX is reachable by car via US-26 West; allow for traffic and mountain weather.
Other Things to Note:
Like the houses in my neighborhood, this house is on a water well system! While we don't experience many, during an event of a power outage, please be aware that this will cause us to lose water as well.

🚭 No Smoking or Vaping
Smoking and vaping are not allowed anywhere on the property, indoors or outdoors. Guests who wish to smoke or vape must leave the property completely.
🔥 Fireplace Note
The primary bedroom gas stove/fireplace is not available for guest use. The living-room wood stove is available.
Interaction with Guests:
We're available by message anytime and typically respond within minutes. We're local to Portland and happy to help with anything - from restaurant recommendations to a quick answer at midnight when you can't find something. We keep a hands-off approach unless you need us, and when you do, we're right there.
