My wife & I spent 10 days here and had a wonderful time The owners live on-site & are very friendly. The entire staff is outstanding- friendly, engaging. The food was delicious, and the included breakfasts always started our island day on the right foot. The facilities were nice & well maintained. We also appreciated the semi secluded nature of the place- it was close to anything we wanted, but we were away from the crowds as well. Highly recommend!

Right from welcoming drinks at check in to our final (included) breakfast, our stay at Puerto Azul was a dream! Staff is warm and friendly, the grounds are kept tidy and the dock provided the best sunset and stargazing location. So delightful to snorkel right out the front door! Thankful for a peaceful holiday!

So peaceful and tranquil. Great place to enjoy nature. Clean cabanas. Staff is top notch—after one week there, they feel like friends. Puerta Azul, the owners and their employees are true gems!

Staying at Puerta Azul was truly like stepping into a private oasis. From the moment we arrived, the experience was nothing short of magical. The staff were absolutely amazing—warm, attentive, and always ready to help. They made booking excursions effortless, giving us the chance to explore the island without any stress. The private villas were immaculately clean and beautifully designed, offering the perfect blend of comfort and tranquility. It felt like our own secluded retreat nestled in paradise. The food? Phenomenal. Every meal was fresh, flavorful, and artfully prepared—it genuinely felt like dining in a high-end, beachside sanctuary. The entire island was stunning, and the people were just as beautiful—kind, welcoming, and full of heart. I can’t say enough good things about this place. We’re already dreaming about our return. I loved this property i will be back it was so clean and beautiful scenery ! Just make sure you have bug spray the mosquitos will a have good feast lol but the staff is so welcoming and they will help you with anything that you need.

Lovely big rooms with nicely designed breakfast and bar area. Besides the relaxing atmosphere and attentive staff, a key highlight is easy access to the reef for snorkelling. Overall, highly recommended for a peaceful escape. Thing that could be improved? Perhaps, more variety with breakfast and improved coffee.

This was the perfect bed and breakfast. We stayed in cabin 2, beach front and loved everything about it. It was always clean, every worker was extremely friendly and helpful. the food was fantastic (we are such picky eaters and they always accommodated our requests). 10/10 recommend staying here!

As soon as we drove onto Puerta Azul, I knew we were in paradise. Talia and Antonio pay such close attention to detail, this a truly amazing experience. From the cozy garden villas tucked into a tropical garden oasis, to the delicious daily breakfast of fresh fruit and local quizine. The clear turquoise and emerald waters are where we spent most of our time. The Palupa was a great retreat for our whole family. This B&B is right on the Mesoamerican barrier reef so access to it was easy. This place is absolutely incredible. I will be back!
