I was coming to this hotel every year before COVID… I stopped during COVID and now I’m back. Some things have changed.. the pool bar doesn’t appear to ever be open, there was so much seaweed on the beach and wasn’t cleaned until the day before I was leaving. It was smelly and bugs were all over it. Gross. The rooms are very dated and can use a fresh upgrade. I do see some renovations going on so I’m excited about that. I love this hotel with all of it flaws. I love the pool, the proximity to the beach. It’s a your fingertips, I love the boardwalk and the restaurants along it. Tapas was really good. Across the street you have other food choices. The doubles are soooo good. Now for the staff, they are pleasant but I do feel the bartenders can be more welcoming and friendly. I have to shout out Nicole, the manager who was amazing. She addressed my issues professionally and compassionately. After being scammed by a company called air travel / reservation desk posing as Expedia because Expedia doesn’t have their phone number on the app, I just couldn’t take anymore disappointment. Nicole turned my trip around. Thank you. Shout out to Gregory (smiley) for his beautiful smile and welcoming attitude. He should be a bartender. He would be amazing.
