How close is El Krimphoff Resort to downtown Romblon?
I stayed there because there was no vacancy in the neighbouring 3 P & Ducks Diving resort. It was a good alternative with a short walk to the dive resort. The resort has it charms with nice seating arrangements close to the say which allow to take a meal and or a drink. The personell was very friendly and any requests were attended to in a very short time.
The ferry company cancelled the operation on 24 and 25 Dec, as well as 31st Dec and 1st Jan. This forced us to stay three days shorter than the original booking. Although I know our booking was a non-refundable one, the cancellation of the ferry operation was not our fault. The hotel didnât return money even though we asked about it very politely and humbly.
Instead, the hotel gave us an upgrade for the room, which was nice, until it turned out that the room was in the new, incomplete building (large sections of the building are still under construction - no facade, no windows, etc.).
The room we got didnât have enough space to put clothes, underwater cameras, and other gear, and it did not enough hangers to hang our clothes (note that people come to this place for scuba diving with the nearby dive shop). There is not a single drawer or a cabinet in the room. TV was not connected properly and did not operate at all until our final night. The shower only had cold water (first two nights). We took a cold shower the first night. The management let us use the shower in the room across from ours, but that one had warm water only on the second night and then stopped working as well.
Overall, the owner(?) (the lady who seemed to be in charge) was nice and smily, but we would think twice about stay this place again. Hopefully after the construction of the new building ends, things will get better than what we experienced.
