A Suite that’s not very “Sweet”

We stayed here in a three-person suite with my husband and sister. The room itself was spacious and had a loft area, but the layout was very odd. Upstairs there was a headboard on the wall with lamps on either side, a dining table, a china cabinet, and even a toilet/sink combo—but no bed. The entire middle of the loft was just empty space, making it feel unfinished and unusable. Downstairs, there was one large bed plus a sofa/day bed that served as the third sleeping option. When we asked if a bed or even a cot could be added upstairs, the front desk said no, which was disappointing given we booked a three-person suite and expected the loft to serve that purpose. The hotel overall felt dated, with mismatched furniture and a disjointed design. In my opinion, this was not a four-star experience—more like a 2.5 to 3 star at best. I would not return and would suggest sticking to a chain hotel if you prefer more consistent, U.S.-style accommodations

The location, staff, and rooms were wonderful. The layout of the room was spacious, comfortably fitting my family of five in two rooms. The location is central and most of the famous sites are easily within walking distance. The only drawback is the single elevator in the building, but a minor flaw in an otherwise wonderful property.

From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel like valued guests, not just customers. The check-in was seamless. Our room was spotless and beautifully decorated. What truly sets this hotel apart is the staff's genuine warmth and attention to detail. I have to give a special mention to Jorge who was fantastic. He was polite, professional and a real asset to the hotel. We also met one of the owners who was down to earth and asked on both occasions how our stay was. The hotel is very conveniently located to all shops, restaurants and historical landmarks. I will definitely stay again at this hotel when we return to Rome.

This experience was outstanding. This small, boutique hotel has been completely refurbished. The rooms and decor were wonderful, the AC was perfect. Best, the views from the Rooftop, allowed us to see the city while we enjoyed refreshments. The breakfast that is included has everything you could want. Thank you! We hope to be back.
