Comms upto and including our check-in was great! We even got our room early and the washing machine-dryer combo was a huge help.
But day 2 evening, the table lamp tripped the power. Apt’s power panel didn’t work; something major must’ve happened somewhere central. No answer on the emergency support # (available until 1 am) or Whatsapp. So no power to make dinner/bkfst, and worse, couldn’t charge phones (draining quickly as we used their flashlights). Day 3, got a Whatsapp after 9am that the bldg mgr had restored power. They said not to run all appliances / devices at the same time – *which we had not done*.
This was in Nov but in summer/winter without AC/Heater etc. this would be a problem.
More disappointing than the loss of power is the lack of support, and, worse, the staff person’s msg suggesting, baselessly and inaccurately, that “the issue was caused by the incorrect use of the sockets without proper adapters”. We’re frequent international travellers and fully aware of these reqs, so this msg was truly frustrating. The support lines are not manned during stated hours which, incidentally, are inconsistent - website (24x7), recorded phone msg (9-9) and in-room manual (Up to 1am).
The location is excellent, well-serviced by buses and close to the lively arterial Nazionale road. Great amenities. If not for this above issue, this a 10/10. Ask for the building mgr’s number for emergencies!
