The house has two bedrooms upstairs, one with private balcony, both with southerly views. The open concept living and dining rooms and the kitchen open directly onto the patio and private pool area. Located in the beautiful Languedoc region, just 1/2-hour's drive from the beaches and fishing villages of the Mediterranean, this is quintessential wine country with rolling hills, tree-lined roads and vineyards as far as the eye can see. Logement parfait pour le repos et le calme

L'annonce dĂ©crit parfaitement la maison, c'est vraiment un lieu trĂšs calme et c'est ce que nous avons apprĂ©ciĂ©. Nous avons aussi apprĂ©ciĂ© la climatisation mĂȘme si l'air frais avait du mal Ă  monter dans les chambres mais cela restait supportable. Le logement Ă©tait parfaitement entretenu, les lits faits lors de notre arrivĂ©e, les serviettes de bain fournies, c'est un sans faute de ce cotĂ© lĂ . Pensez Ă  allez visiter la petite chapelle sur les hauteurs de Roquessels, nouvellement rĂ©novĂ©e, elle en vaut le dĂ©tour. Je recommande cette location, merci Ă  la propriĂ©taire c'Ă©tait un excellent sĂ©jour de 2 semaines.

Séjour trÚs agréable dans un cadre magnifique propice au repos et à la découverte de la région.

Maison pleine de charge on l'on s'y sent bien : espace et prestations fournies (ménage, linges et nettoyage de la piscine) au top permettant de profiter pleinement de ses vacances. La voiture est indispensable mais tout est accessible rapidement. Piscine de bonne taille pour se rafraßchir. En résumé à découvrir. Pour notre part nous y reviendrons.

Merveilleuses vacances dans un petit coin de paradis

Deux semaines de repos et de calme dans une maison ravissante et pleine de charme, tout est prĂ©vu pour assurer de vraies vacances. Les photos sont le reflet exact de ce que l'on trouve en arrivant, un petit coin de paradis. Les propriĂ©taires, Patricia et Mel, font tout pour que leurs hĂŽtes soient satisfaits, nous avons eu l'occasion d'ĂȘtre en contact avec eux, ils sont charmants. Petit village trĂšs sympathique, Ă  recommander aux amateurs de vins avec 3 producteurs sur place et de trĂšs bons vins de FaugĂšres Ă  dĂ©couvrir ! La rĂ©gion est magnifique, belles ballades, nombreuses activitĂ©s pour les grands et les petits. Une seule envie, revenir profiter d'un excellent moment de repos.

This was the 4th time we have stayed at Maison Candide and it was as beautiful as ever. Upon walking through the front door you are presented with a wonderful patio area and inviting pool, and everything is so beautifully maintained with wonderful flowers and grape vines.Inside has everything you could need with a well-equipped kitchen, two toilets and good wi-fi (essential with a 16 year old daughter!). We stayed during a heatwave with temperatures between 36 & 39 most days, so the air conditioning downstairs was very welcome. But otherwise we spent a lot of time in the lovely pool, just the right size for cooling off and plenty of room for the 3 of us.Roquessels itself is a delightful, quiet village, and the people are all very welcoming. Make sure you stop by Domaine des Trinities with Simon and Monica if you want to try some amazing wine!As ever, we were sad to leave and will definitely be returning again.

Just Perfect!

We had the most relaxing stay. The property is absolutely beautiful with all amenities catered for. Stunning views and a very peaceful village. The host leaves a list of recommended places to visit which were very useful, and we did most of them! Super U about 15 minutes drive in Roujan and Intermarche about same distance in Magalas The market in Pezenas on Saturday morning is well worth a visit.

Schöner Urlaub in nettem Haus

Wir hatten einen erholsamen Urlaub in dem netten Haus. Die RĂ€ume sind schön eingerichtet, Bei heißen Sommerwetter heizt das Haus allerdings trotz der SchlaglĂ€den stark auf. Eine Klimaanlage ist zwar vorhanden, wir haben sie aber ohne Anleitung leider nicht ans Laufen bekommen. Der Pool ist groß genug, um sich abzukĂŒhlen (nur die Pumpe dĂŒrfte leiser sein) und es ist immer ein Eckchen mit erholsamem Schatten verfĂŒgbar. Alle Mahlzeiten haben wir auf der ĂŒberdachten, bewachsenen Terrasse genossen und abends sind wir noch eine kleine Runde durch das Dörfchen gegangen.Ein Parkplatz ist vor dem Haus verfĂŒgbar - sollte man allerdings ein langes Auto haben, parkt man besser unten an der Straße.Einkaufsmöglichkeiten, StrĂ€nde und SehenswĂŒrdigkeiten gibt es im Umkreis von 20-50 Minuten.Alles in allem ein schöner Urlaub

Charming and Peaceful

We really enjoyed our stay. Eglantine's property is a perfect quiet retreat to enjoy southern France. We spent almost all of our time sitting outside beneath the grape vines enjoying the beautiful view towards Gabian. The property has everything you'd need from a short stay to a longer holiday and the pool is wonderful on the hot days. My partner and I have stayed in a lot of holiday lets around europe and both agreed this was by far the best yet. The village of Roquessels is an amazing location with tons of small towns close by, plenty of easily accessible walking spots and the coast not far away. I would recommend this property to anyone that wants to explore the south of France; we'll definitely consider returning ourselves.

Blissful two weeks at Maison Candide

My friends and I really enjoyed our stay in Roquessels, a quiet and characteristic French town with lovely locals (and cats)! The house had everything we needed, which was a huge comfort. The house was very cosy and nicely decorated. During the hottest days we made a lot of use of the pool, which was cleaned regularly. We enjoyed our trips to the nearby markets, towns and beaches and had some nice hikes in the area. We could easily contact the owner for any questions we had. We highly recommend Maison Candide and hopefully will be coming back someday!

We had a lovely time in Roquessels! The house contains everything one might need. We especially adored the outside area and its amazing view; the pool was definitely a highlight. The neighbourhood is super calm and we therefore had a very relaxing stay. Would highly recommend this location to anyone!

A Gem of A Property

We loved our stay at Maison Candide! It was the perfect place to unwind and enjoy the sun. The villa was well equipped and it was great to have a good selection of the basics (olive oil, herbs, washing powder etc) in the cupboards on arrival. The pool was a great hit with the whole family and the perfect way to cool off in the heat. Roquessels is a very quiet village with some lovely walks. We tried a few different boulangeries before eventually settling on Le Fournil de Benjamin opposite Hyper U in Roujan. We would definitely visit again!

Idyllic Rural Retreat

We have just returned having spent the most wonderful time at Maison Candide. Located in the quiet small village of Roquessels it is perfect for those that are looking for privacy and rural tranquility. The house is perfectly equipped even for the strict self-caterers having everything you could possibly need. Not for everyone, but having Freesat TV with all the regular English channels means that those who wish to keep up with what’s happening back home can do so. A car is essential since there is no Boulangerie, shops or restaurants in the village. Nearest Boulangerie is an 8 minute drive to Gabian. For your supermarket Roujan is just a further 7 mins on. Out and about there are so many Caveau’s to visit. Try the local “Trinities” in Roquessels or visit Faugeres, Neffies or Fontes for your Rose. You are literally spoilt for choice. Pezenas is just 20 minutes away and in 35 minutes you can be in Meze or Bouzigues. Eglantine made sure that we were aware of everything ahead of our arrival and also dealt with the problem of a broken washing machine very promptly. Within 3 days of letting her know of the problem a new one was installed and running. Fantastic service which we truly appreciated. If you want to enjoy the beauty of this part of France and get away from it all this is just perfect.

Een heerlijk verblijf in een compleet en goed ingericht huis, met een mooi uitzicht. Zeer rustig dorp op kwartier rijden van winkels, goede uitvalsbasis voor leuke trips. Fijn ook de extra verzorging van het zwembad, terras en kleine schoonmaak (met verschoning van de bedden en de handdoeken) van het huis halverwege (we huurden twee weken). Aan te raden!

Lovely house in quiet village

Really super house in very peaceful rural location. Amazing views from the terrace. Swimming pool was great - especially during the heat wave. A real home from home. Eglantine has thought of everything. Close to lots of lovely little towns and only 25 mins to Pezenas - a must! Can’t wait to return.

Beautiful location

The property itself is delightful, very quintessentially French but with all the mod cons ( the air con was a welcome addition as was the English t.v channels for when it rained!) the views from the Villa are just stunning. The pool is small but the owner is clear about that on the description and it kept our two children entertained (11 and 9). The village is very peaceful and everyone we met was friendly. The surrounding areas are full of rolling hills, vineyards and sleepy villages. You definitely need a car to travel round. We visited several beaches, all were within 40-60 mins. We loved Pezenas, such a lively place with plenty of restaurants and beautiful buildings. The owner was really easy to communicate with and left a really handy folder full of useful information about places to visit. If you are looking for a peaceful place, with gorgeous views, that is surrounded by a part of France that feels largely untouched by mass tourism then this is definitely the place to stay.
