With a charming, comfortable and coastal atmosphere, this two-bedroom holiday home with a sleep-out is just waiting to host a family looking to ditch the work attire, get the sunnies and jandals on, and soak up some Kiwi sunshine.

With great indoor-outdoor flow, there is enough space for everyone to kick back and stretch their legs. Hang out on the sundeck around the outdoor dining table under the sun-shade, or lounge out on a bean bag with a good book.

The externally accessed sleep-out is ideal for the younger members of your group, with plenty of extra space and sleeping up to 4 guests.

Whip up a few tasty holiday meals in the fully equipped kitchen, where a Nespresso machine also waits to ensure you start the day off right. The all-important BBQ is also outside, ready to grill up a classic summer feast!

This place certainly comes alive in summer, but a mid-winter stay is well-catered for as well. With heating options, WiFi, and a TV with Freeview, you and the family will be looked after during those indoor days or cosy nights in.

Be sure to bring the boat, there's plenty of parking space here, and the boat ramp only 4kms away. You'll love being able to get out on the water and bring home your fresh catch.

Being less than a three-minute walk from the beach, you can spend your days heading to and from the white sandy shore for a swim or some beach cricket.

Amazing as always

2nd time here and even better than the first. New fence around the property helped contain our dog. Property is immaculate and has everything you need. Looking forward to our next visit

Needs renovation.

The actual location was brilliant. The accommodation inside was just adequate but filthy. Needs a good spring clean. We could not get into the wardrobes and pantry because of the owners “stuff”. When I am paying good money I expect to be able to have good cupboard space. The kitchen utensils were dirty and I had to wash knives etc before using. The table and chairs on the deck need to be reviewed as some of the chairs were so fatigued that one collapsed on my husband who is on his eighties and it has left him badly shaken and bruised and has left his hip replacement very painful. The rusting on the deck is very rusted and a danger of collapsing. Many of the above are health and safety issues which need to be addressed by the owner if he wants to let the property to the public. As we paid in full about 6 months ago and had the use of our money all that time I think a lot of these issues should have been addressed. The place looks good on the Book a Bach site but unfortunately this is not so.

Ruakaka getaway

Overall we enjoyed the great location and properties layout. However the cleaning and maintenance team need to up their game. Perhaps implement some basic check lists. We arrived to find a lot of flies and ants in the house, noticeably more ants in kitchen area. The fly spray was empty so of no use, then we discovered that a rubbish bin in the bench marked compost. It was full of rotten food, hence the ants and flies. I put it outside and cleaned the bench including around and under toasted as that area was uncleaned. The kitchen spray and wipe was also empty as was the BBQ Gas bottle. I left a note for the cleaners regarding these issues, trusting that they will follow up on our concerns. Regards Bruce Rosoman
