Cottage in beautiful Erbstromtal at the feet of the Thuringian Forest and Rennsteig

Our cottage is located in the beautiful Erbstromtal below the castle and focus only 10 km from the Rennsteig.
From April to September, you can relax on the landscaped grounds around the house.
Start right at the cottage with your hike for focusing castle or Ruhlaer Chalet am Rennsteig.
You can also use our nice, large indoor swimming pool at your doorstep.
For tennis fans, visit us next to the swimming pool, a tennis hall where guests are allowed to hit a few balls.
Trips to the Wartburg in Eisenach, in the nature Hainich, the large island mountain or in the beautiful city of Ruhla with your miniature park mini-a-door and adventure toboggan run is unique in Thuringia.
We are happy to give tips for exploring the region, both for walking or cycling.
Of course, we are also bikers welcome.
Our small house offers about 30 square meters a small bathroom with shower, a combined living / dining room with kitchenette and a small separate bedroom, the bed has unfortunately only one size of 1,4m x 2,0m please keep this in mind.

Schönes Ferienhäuschen

Wir waren über 3 Nächte in der Unterkunft und hatten eine gute Zeit dort. Sehr netter Gastgeber! Super Unterkunft für einen Wanderurlaub. Man kann direkt von der Unterkunft aus los laufen und kriegt einiges zu sehen. Kann ich nur weiterempfehlen :)

Ein erholsamer Urlaub

Ein kleiner aber Zweckmäßig eingerichteter Bungalow. Die Ausstattung ist gut, sauber und ordentlich. Es ist alles da was man braucht. Die Vermieter sind sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Sie geben einen tolle Tipps für Ausflüge und Wanderungen und hatten immer ein offenes Ohr für unsere vielen Fragen. Danke!!!!

Sehr schöne Gegend und eine schöne kleine gemütliche Ferienwohnung

Ruhla Thal in einem kleinen wunderschönen Tal gelegen. Die Ferienwohnung ist sehr schön eingerichtet und es bleiben keine Wünsche offen und es gibt in der Gegend genügend Ausflugsziele.

Die Unterkunft bietet eine gute Möglichkeit verschiedene Freizeitmöglichkeiten zu nutzen, das Schwimmbad vor der Haustür. Supermarkt ist in Fußnähe. Leider waren viele Gaststätten geschlossen.

kleine aber feine Basis für's Wandern

Das Haus ist zwar klein, aber optimal eingerichtet, wenn man wie wir vor allem in der Umgebung unterwegs sein will zum Wandern. Das Freibad wäre (wir waren nicht drin) sogar fußläufig erreichbar, ebenso Einkaufsmöglichkeiten. Die Umgebung ist ruhig und man kann gut im schönen Garten frühstücken oder Abend essen

Hallo, wir waren zehn Tage dort und haben außer an zwei Tagen täglich Wanderungen unternommen, es war klasse die Natur in ihren Farben zu beobachten und aufgrund der Corona- Situation haben wenig Menschen auf unseren Wanderungen gesehen....die Ferienwohnung war gemütlich und für uns völlig ausreichend, hat an nichts gefehlt. Ein superschöner Urlaub

Es waren wunderschöne Tage in Thal. Im Ferienhäuschen ist wirklich alles vorhanden was man im Urlaub so braucht. Es war sehr sauber, gemütlich eingerichtet und der Vermieter sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. An Ausflugszielen mangelt es in und um Thal überhaupt nicht - alles anzuschaun war innerhalb von 5 Tagen unmöglich. Fazit: Wir kommen ganz bestimmt bald mal wieder für ein paar Tage.

Ein erholsamer und angenehmer Aufenthalt in familiärer Atmosphäre - sehr nette und zuvorkommende Vermieter - tolle Lage direkt am Schwimmbad und einer Kneipp-Anlage - Top gepflegtes Ferienhäuschen mit kompletter Ausstattung - Gartenbenutzung inclusive - der Ortsteil Thal (Ruhla) ist sehr ruhig, trotzdem sind es nur wenige Meter zum nächsten Supermarkt - zahllose Möglichkeiten zur Freizeitgestaltung bei jedem Wetter - Fazit: Wir kommen gerne wieder!!!

Wunderschöne Umgebung, selbst ohne Auto ok, sauber, ausreichend Platz für 2 Personen.

Wir haben unseren Urlaub sehr genossen, insbesondere die Ruhe und viel Wald und Grün drumherum. Tolle Ausflugsmöglichkeiten, darunter Eisenach mit Wartburg, Miniaturwunderland mit Sommerrodelbahn, Nationalpark Hainich, Wildkatzengehege und -pfad. Wir haben alles selbst mit Bus ganz gut erreichen können, mit Auto wärs aber einfacher gewesen. Die Ferienwohnung war für 2 absolut ausreichend für 10 Tage mit einem Wohnraum inklusive Küchenzeile, Bad und Schlafzimmer. Einziges kleines Manko: Das Bett ist durchgelegen, persönlich hatte ich keine Probleme, mein Mann hatte gegen Ende leichte Rückenschmerzen. Aber mit 1,40m Breite kommt man klar über 10 Tage ;) Sehr netter, unkomplizierter und entgegenkommender Vermieter! Insgesamt auf jeden Fall empfehlenswert!

Fijne woning op mooie locatie in thuringerwald

Woning staat in de tuin van de eigenaar, maar is prima afgeschermd. Mooie uitvalsbasis om Thuringerwald te ontdekken. Je bevindt je aan de noordkant van de bergketen, dus je moet nog wel wat afstand overbruggen als je naar zuidelijker gelegen dorpen in Thüringen wilt. Veel supermarkten in de buurt: loopafstand. Eigenaar weet veel van de omgeving. Mooie MTB’s geregeld voor weinig geld!

Lovely cottage in convenient location

A pretty and well located cottage, with outdoor seating area, just below the forest edge. Good sized living area, with well equipped kitchen; efficient shower in the bathroom and a small bedroom. Conveniently located for sightseeing of the many castles and attractive old towns in the area, and for walking in the Thuringian forest. Supermarket and open air pool only a few minutes walk away. Herr Umbreit, the owner, is very helpful and great for information on the area.
