Founded in 1623, the town of Rye offers historic sites, architecture, and the longest stretch of coastline of any New Hampshire coastal town. Rye is also home to almost 23 square miles of wetlands and marshes, much of which is explorable via scenic hiking trails. And for exciting day trips, this rental is only 60 miles from Boston, MA and Portland, ME.

Spacious home for seven people in for a wedding dress shopping weekend. Decorated nice for the beach location and has a nice limited coast view Convenient location. The home is clean surface wise, but there is some wear on the furniture and rugs. Would stay here again.

The location was good for the activities we had planned in the area. The living room sofa needs a bit of TLC or updating, and the beds were small queen-size. Overall, we had a great stay. However, the disclosure in the listing of the stairs leading up to the house from the foyer would have been appreciated.

Location, Location!

This beach house was tucked away enough to have privacy without compromising proximity to the beach
it was just a short walk to paradise! The house itself was spacious and comfortable. The ocean views from the living room and bedroom were stunning.The only reason this didn’t get a five star review was because of a few things that needed some TLC: the shower curtain was too small for the pole; the queen bed mattresses were worn soft; there is no air conditioning (if needed); and the garage trash barrel container was too small. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here otherwise! Thank you.

Friends weekend

The lock on one of the sliders was broken when we got there but we didn’t notice until later that night. When I heard back from the property manager he said they were aware and came out the next afternoon to replace it. When he arrived he let himself into the house without knocking and said he didn’t want us to have to go downstairs to let him in. He also showed up early the day we were leaving and let himself in again to collect the trash. It just seemed inappropriate and we won’t be renting from them again

Beautiful Home but some issues

The home was absolutely stunning and clean, but there were a few things that weren’t so great. There were stains on the sheets, and one of the sliding doors locks were completely broken so we were unable to lock it. We didn’t feel very safe because of this and being in a new area with lots of people we definitely would have liked to have been able to lock all the doors. Other than that we had a wonderful experience.

Nice Property

Lots of positives about this property: it was clean, well-stocked with kitchenware and towels/wash cloths, location was great. The one suggestion is to update the mattresses in all bedrooms. They were old and quite uncomfortable as well as stained. This would be an easy fix and really enhance the experience.

We regret renting this house

There were many issues during our 4-day stay. The house smells strongly of mildew. We needed to keep windows open throughout to keep air flow to combat the strong smell. Mattresses in main bedrooms are failed and unsanitary with large areas that look to be stained with urine and blood. Foosball table broken. Dining chairs on porch broken. Basic cleanliness of floors & bathrooms fine but remainder not clean. Pots and pans were put away dirty & had to be washed before use. Ceiling fixtures filled with bugs, fan filters blocked with gunk, fabric blinds dirty, lamp shades, art, etc all have a layer of gunk, screens dirty, windows poorly cleaned. No fault of property, but of note - house directly in front of porch is a literal trash heap and there is a green swampy area to the side of the house filled with so many happy frogs we had to use ear plugs to sleep in the bedroom at that end of the house. We loved the house layout and location. If the mildew was professionally remediated & HVAC added for AC & the furnishings taken care of, it would be a 5 star gem. As it stands, I'd appreciate my money back.

Beautiful house within walking distance to Wallis Sand State beach. Convenient short drive into Portsmouth. Very well decorated and appointed. Everything you need for a few days or longer at the beach. Except...the house does not have AC! Can I recommend to the owner to buy 3 or 4 box fans. It would have made a big difference for us on the few very hot days we were there. Two bedrooms have ceiling fans but were stuck on low as we couldn't figure out the remote (no instructions). Two other small fans were provided, but they are old and don't operate properly. Other than that, the house and location were great!

Nice, clean and well renovated big house. However, not recommended during hot Days bécause no air condition inf. No instructions regarding thé alarm systÚme, cieling fans nor thermostat fonctionning. Great space for a large family near the ocean

Overall property was great for size, space, clean and convenient to the beach - 5 min walk. Nice for a large family. Not deal breakers but it would have made it more comfortable if bathrooms had safety grab bars and non-slip flooring. Coat hooks through out to hang clothes, towels accessories, etc as closet available in only one of the bedrooms. The foosball table had no ball and parts were broken - bummer :(

Guzzi Drive

The house was very spacious, bright, lots of windows which provided lots of natural light. the garage fit two cars and allowed for two others in the driveway. The couch is large enough for six of us to chill, relax and watch a good movie after a day of shopping in Portsmouth. The bedroom rugs are stained and probably should be replaced but the few stains didn't distract from the rest of the house. The beach was gorgeous which is about a 5 minute walk. The few suggestions...The frying pans are teflon and peeling a little so should probably be replaced. If you plan to cook and not eat out every meal you will need to bring leftover containers because there aren't any. There were not any ziploc bags so you might want to bring some for extra food storage. Overall, the location and house were perfect.

The ocean view was the main amenity. We were disappointed with the initial cleanliness specifically a greasy stove, stained rugs, well worn uncomfortable furniture, a walk outside revealed a lint buildup at the dryer vent which made us not use the washer and dryer, that is an unsafe condition for a dryer. The management at Vacasa were responsive and sent cleaning crew in, but it was at their convenience not ours, we had to srtay away while they cleaned. I did not check to see if dryer vent was cleaned , but stove and rugs were addressed as good as they could considering their long time neglect.A request was made of us to strip the beds upon checkout which revealed yellow stained mattresses, had I seen that earlier I would have been reluctant to sleep on either one.

Great family space

We had a wonderful time. Large family table, couch, clean bathrooms, large outside deck. Perfect for large family. However I would not go back until they cleaned or replaced the stained carpets and deck cushions. One deck couch portion was broken and unusable. Should be tossed. BBQ grill bottom was full of grease and shot out flames. The main reason we booked and even asked about the deck and bbq was for family activity. The rest was great.

Great House

We stayed here for our daughter's college graduation and had family over for a cookout after. It was raining so unfortunately couldn't' enjoy the large deck but the house had a nice open floor plan between the living and dining area that we had plenty of room! House was very clean, kitchen well stocked. Already recommended to our friend for when his son graduates in 2 years!

Home needs a deep cleaning, area and wall to wall carpets were not ckean. I washed all of the throw rugs and most of the knick knacks on shelves, and light fixtures before our kids arrived.
