Very average hotel. Electricity in my room went out all night - got no sleep. Kept calling the front desk. Did nothing about it. Next day I talked to housekeeping and to the morning front desk. They were all confused by why my electricity went out. Sent up a maintenance guy - he immediately told me that all but two of the outlets in my room are on timers/motion control - so whatever is plugged in to those outlets will shut off every 15 minutes - my sound machine was one of those things that kept shutting off. 1.) I’ve never heard of such a thing in a hotel. 2.) how did nobody in the hotel know about this until the next morning when the electrician told me? 3.) why did I get no discount on that first night? There’s also really no security in the hotel. Anybody can go onto the elevator and up to the floors. Case in point - there was a woman curled up in a ball in the corner of one of the elevators lying on the floor - and she was not staying in the hotel - so I had to go get the bellman to let him know about it.

Staff was great. Especially Otto(?) at The Clayton Club. The shower had two temps. Cold and scalding. The rooms are great. The HVAC system was lacking. The air flow should’ve been greater. Other than those things, everything was great. I’d stay there again.

Checked in at 5pm. Had no rooms ready or cleaned. Had an event to go to so left our luggage with them. Went back to check in at 10pm they had 2 queen bed rooms availabile when I purchased a 1 king bed room. They said they sold out of the king rooms because people checked in before me and got them. I requested a cancelation and a full refund which then they magically "moved things around" and was able to put us in a king room.
