Relax and unwind in this charming guesthouse nestled in a picturesque country setting - - just an hour outside of Sacramento in the Sierra Foothills. This may be just what you need to replenish your spirit! You can leave stress behind to go fish in the pond, play in the pool, play the piano, read a good book, relax in the hot tub, pet the goats, feed apples to the ponies, paint a picture of the red barn, or just sit out on the deck and relax with a nice glass of wine.

Bring your dog. Bring your horse. You'll have freedom to roam this 50+ acre family ranch - - just minutes from Camp Far West Lake and the expansive hiking trails of Spenceville Wildlife Recreation Area, Fairy Falls and the Bear River. (Kayaks and bikes available!) Enjoy music and the night life at nearby Thunder Valley Casino, Hard Rock Cafe or the Toyota Amphitheater. It's all here.

My Own Retreat

A wonderful space and time to regroup and share re-gain my serenity. Denise and Bruce are very special hosts that made me feel that I was so welcome anywhere on the whole property. Visiting the goats chickens pigeons ducks in the ponds horses and organic vegetable garden. Or just relaxing by the pool, patio and the cool comfortable cottage. With sounds of bubbling water everywhere with coi or goldfish and little waterways galore. Lots of shade, wonderful A/C and comfortable furniture. Plenty of privacy. More of a kitchenette than full kitchen but certainly had all I needed to make my own delicious meals with veggies from their garden. I enjoyed my stay, the wine, the peace and the art!! Tried my hand at a couple watercolor paintings. Denise had all the supplies right there for guests. I WILL be back!!

Country Charm

We couldn’t be more pleased with our stay, from the graciousness of our hosts and accomodating our kids and g’babies in the pool and with the farm animals - collecting eggs from the hen house, feeding the goats, picking fresh fruit from the abundant fruit trees - our hosts created a warm and welcoming place for our family to visit together. We look forward to a return stay!

Anniversary vacation

The property managers were very friendly and accommodating. They made our stay very enjoyable. Our dog lived roaming around there large property. The accommodations were clean and well stocked. The surroundings were tranqui. We will definitely go back.

Amazing hosts!

We stayed for a relaxing getaway for the weekend and it was better than we could have imagined. The hosts were extremely accommodating. We planned to mostly grill for the weekend and the hosts had a propane and two charcoal grills (more than enough options). There are many activities to do around the farm itself; Fishing (fishing pole provided), swimming in the pool, birdwatching (binoculars provided), relaxing in the hot tub, watercoloring/painting (supplies provided), fruit-picking and viewing their livestock. We caught 2 small bass in the fishing hole! Even when we were departing the hosts gave us a goodie bag with fresh fruit/goodies grown on the farm. I would surely book again to connect with nature.

Peaceful Getaway Indeed!

My husband were on a weekend getaway...and this far exceeded our expectations! It was so restful and the guest-house facility had all the right offerings for our taste; books galore, musical instruments, painting supplies, air conditioning, farm animals, orchard, etc... Denise and Bruce were absolutely wonderful hosts. Their farm was everything we were hoping for. It really allowed my mom and I to unplug and enjoy the beauty of our surroundings. They’ve got two duck/fishing ponds, goldfish, chickens, homing pigeons, cows, horses, and a pony. We really enjoyed our coffee on the deck in the morning. The property is filled with so many special little details that make it super special. The guest house was perfect for us and had everything we needed and then some! We look forward to booking again when our next adventure leads us to the area. Book with Denise and Bruce and you will not be disappointed!

We came to Lincoln as my husband and I were going to a concert at a nearby venue and didn’t want to pay the crazy hotel prices at that same venue. I read about this quiet and beautiful property and chose it for the scenery and the much lower price. As we arrived, Denise welcomed us at the front gate to show us the house and then gave us a tour of the huge property. We got to meet all the animals including the new baby goats! I wish we would have been able to stay longer than the one night and enjoy the pool and hot tub. My husband and I have made it a plan to come back very soon to just stay in and enjoy the property. Thank you Denise for everything!

Denise was a wonderful host and the property was absolutely perfect. Bungalow was beautifully appointed with piano, guitar, and violin, super comfy bed, and lots of treats! The property is lovely as well with lots of big shade trees and bonus animals to visit!

5 Stars - Every Detail Considered

This Ranch absolutely ranked in the top 3 vacation rentals I've ever experienced. The moment we arrived, we were greeted with breathtaking views of the countryside. We got a full tour of the property including the ducks, horses, goats and birds while also being given permission to explore the entire premises. The accommodations were cozy and the attention to detail was impeccable as well. It was clean, elegant and had little suprises I'll let you all find on your own 😊And a special thanks to our host Denise! She made us feel completely welcomed, offered to drive us to our event, encouraged us to reach out if we needed anything and she even sent me my favorite earrings that I left behind. Book this stay if you're anywhere in the area or just looking for a local stay-cation. You will not be disappointed! (We're already looking for reasons to go back and visit again đŸ€Ș) ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Stayed over night to attend a concert at the Toyota Amphitheatre.

The property is AMAZING. The accommodations are as described, and Denise went above, and beyond to make sure that our stay was enjoyable, and that we were able to enjoy the amenities and beauty of the ranch. The property was a relatively short drive to the Toyota Amphitheatre, where we attended a concert, and this was much MUCH better than staying in a hotel. Next time we are in Lincoln for a concert, we will be staying with Denise!

OUR RUSTIC & PEACEFUL GETAWAY

This gorgeous property was such a pleasant surprise! Also, had the most kind, & had thoughtful hosts we've had the pleasure of meeting. Additionally, this rental has the most value for money spent than any other VRBO or hotel we have ever stayed in. From the start, Denise gave us a COMPLETE tour of the property, from the goats, to the horses, to the pond, to the ducks & chickens & the on site hiking areas. I had all the photo shoot pictures my camera could hold with the glorious green vistas, the old barns and structures. We bass fished & scooted around in the pond while taking in all of the sights & sounds. The cottage was lovingly stocked with snacks, wine, water, etc. Denise had known we'd be out late that night, and kindly let us their LED flashlight & let us know how dark it gets on the late night roads. The bed could not have been more comfortable. Both Denise & Bruce & Bruce are excellent hosts & really enjoyed sharing their property. This was not a money making effort on their part, they clearly do it out of love of sharing their farm with anyone who chooses. It was so peaceful & quiet! Lastly, when climbing into our truck to leave, we had to get back out to grab a parting gift that was left on our windshield with a personalized thank you note. You will have to stay at the cottage to find out what the gift was! We thank you & can't wait to return! Dave & Delice

We absolutely loved our stay. The guesthouse is extremely comfortable and private. The surroundings are serene and beautiful. Morning coffee on the deck is highly recommended. I recommend staying here. My husband and I went to concert at thunder valley casino and this was the perfect spot to spend the night. Quiet, pretty and perfect.
