Private heated saltwater pool. A grand, contemporary holiday home with generous proportions throughout, luxurious bathrooms and modern conveniences all set in a countryside location. The vast open-plan living area is the hub of the home with large doors opening out onto the pool terrace with views.
Located 2km from the village restaurant and tennis courts. 9km from the historical town of Duras with restaurants, shops, a weekly farmers market and a summer night market. Bergerac is 35km.

Bedrooms: All 6 bedrooms have room fans, a USB charging plug and a hair dryer.
There are a total of 7 bath/shower rooms, all with a WC, plus a separate WC.

Bedroom 1: King-size bed, 150x200cm. Dual aspect room. Shower, bath, wash basin, wc.
Bedroom 2: Double bed, 140x190cm. Shower, wash basin, wc.
Bedroom 3: Double bed, 140x190cm. Shower, wash basin, wc.
Bedroom 4: King-size bed, 150x200cm. Shower, bath, wash basin, wc.
Ground floor:
Bedroom 5: Twin beds, 90x200cm. Shower, wash basin, wc.
Bedroom 6: Double bed, 140x190cm. Shower, wash basin, wc.
There is also an additional shower with WC on the ground floor, plus a further separate WC.

Please note that due to the different levels of the property, La Bique is not suitable for wheelchair users.

Baby and toddler facilities: 2 wooden baby cots (bedding provided), 1 high chair, a changing mat and a potty are all provided. Please pre-book in advance.

Mezzanine: Mezzanine space with a desk and chair. An ideal spot to work from home whilst away if you really need to, please note: the Wi-Fi speed is fairly slow but is sufficient for checking emails.

Kitchen: Gas and electric hob, x2 electric ovens, one also being microwave and grill. Kettle, toaster, 2 Cafetieres, Tassimo pod coffee machine and a Dishwasher.

There is a gas BBQ and also a charcoal BBQ situated by the outside dining table.

Dining room: Separate dining room next to the kitchen, seating 12 guests. There is an additional table and chairs in the open-plan living area and a further dining table and chairs are outside.

Utility room: Separate utility room with a washing machine, clothes tumble dryer and a sink.

A grand open-plan space: 3 defined areas, a TV lounge area around the feature fireplace, an informal dining area and an informal chill-out seating area with a small table tennis table and views out to the terrace and pool. The TV area has 3 sofas and a large-screen smart TV with English-speaking channels. Netflix is enabled so guests can log into their own accounts to view content.

Outside and garden: A large garden set over almost 2 acres surrounds the property.
An exterior table and chairs, seating 12 for alfresco dining, are located just outside the kitchen.

Private heated saltwater swimming pool: The heated saltwater pool is 10m x 4.5m and at a depth of 1m – 1.5m (all measurements are approximate). Pool security is by way of a pool alarm. There are 12 sun beds and some parasols for shade.
The pool is open from the beginning of April until the beginning of November.
Pool heating is included in the price. Please note that specific temperatures can't be guaranteed, as pool heating is influenced by weather conditions and other factors.

Electric car charger and private parking: The driveway entrance has electric gates and private off-road parking for several cars.
An exterior electricity plug for electric car charging is available at an additional cost of £50 per week per car, please pre-book in advance.

Activities and what to do in the area: The local village of St Sernin centre is 2 km away (1.2 miles), a 25-minute walk along a quiet country lane. Facilities in the village include public tennis courts, a restaurant and a Tabac. A fortnightly night market in July and August.
The nearest wine tasting is at Domaine Les Bertins, one of our favourites with a selection of their reds, whites and rose by the bottle or box. Their very nice shop also stocks their pate and honey. 2.7km (1.7 miles) through a quiet country lane (one of my favourite lanes for cycling, David).
The historical town of Duras is 9km away with restaurants, shops and the famous Duras chateau to visit.
En Tout Simplicite is a nice restaurant just 5km away which is one of our favourites.
The nearest supermarket, Carrefour contact, is on the way to Duras 8.5km away.
A freshwater lake with a sandy beach at Blasimon is just 38km away and is a popular attraction to take children for a day out. The gently shelving sand provides a fun environment for splashing around and cooling off in the heat of the summer sun.
Aqua Park is 28km away, located near Bergerac. Beach, canoeing and a water park.

Duras Castle: The famous Chateau de Duras is 9km away. It's well worth a visit. Climb to the top and see the stunning 360-degree vista.
Tea room with gardens: Jardin de Boissona, six small gardens, each with its own character. Outside and inside seating. Known for their teas and delicious cakes. 12km.
Zip wire adventure and climbing park: 16km. Playground and snack bar. Des chenes toi Aventure
Boat trips: Dordogne river trips are available on traditional boats in Bergerac with Les Gabarres de Bergerac. 32km.

The security bond: A security bond of 1000 GBP is pre-authorised against a debit or credit card 7 to 10 days before arrival. This is released within 7 days of departure, subject to a satisfactory inspection by the house manager after the guest's departure.
Included in the price: Bed linen, bath towels and pool towels are provided. A complimentary supply of bed linen and bath towels will be provided for stays of 2 weeks or more. End-of-stay cleaning is included in the price, although the house should be left in reasonable condition on departure; any excessive cleaning will be charged.
Additional charges: EV Electric vehicle charging point, £50 per week per car. Please pre-order this so it can be made available. This is a dedicated, fitted car charger. Please bring your plug-in cable, type 2.
