Casa Feliz Pescador is your own personal retreat to paradise. Just 25 miles from Zihuatanejo, this is a great getaway from the bustling crowds. This beachfront home is located approximately 4 km from the world class surf break, Playa La Saladita. GPS coordinates 17 51’33”N 101 46’47”W

Situated on 3.5 acres of beautifully landscaped tropical paradise that features a surrounding privacy fence. Beyond the front gate, down a tree lined driveway, you are greeted by a lovely courtyard and main entrance to the home. Upon entering you are welcomed by the open air of ocean breezes throughout the day and cool mountain air at night.

The home features an entertainment room on the first floor consisting of a smart tv, and games. Also located on the main floor dining area, and living room overlooking the beautifully landscaped yard and a direct view of the beach. The kitchen is fully stocked with all ammenities and a walk in pantry.
The downstairs master bedroom has a king size bed and air conditioning. .

Cozy up on the upstairs wrap around porch, where you have beautiful vistas of the mountains and the ocean. The second floor also features two bedrooms with king size beds, air conditioning and private bathrooms.


Down the path from the house is a wood fired grill and smoker. Cook up something delicious or have it cooked for you and enjoy a meal down in the spacious palapa covered poolside cabana. Or just relax in the hammocks while watching the sunset. Adjacent to the cabana is an infinity pool with shaded comfortable seating overlooking the Pacific.

This house is located far enough from the surf and restaurant activities to ensure privacy, yet close enough to be easily accessible to half a dozen restaurants/ bars. As additional service fees you may also choose to contract meal preparation, daily maid services, and laundry services.

Jose and Mary Lou are the caretakers for Casa Feliz Pescador .They live on the property,and can provide you with housekeeping and meal preparation if you desire. These services are not included in the daily rate .

What an amazing vacation. Luce and Jose were amazing caretakers. Luce is an amazing chef and Jose was kind and took care of any issues quickly. There was 6 adults and Luce cooked for all of us! The home was absolutely wonderful. If you want an authentic Mexican experience, I would highly recommend staying at this amazing place. It was a wonderful Christmas and we all loved every moment of our time there. Thank you to Luce and Jose for making it so special!!

A week at feliz pescador

Jose Luis and Luz were amazing! Luz cooked delicious meals for us twice. The infinity pool over looking the ocean is incredible! The rental is not where it claims to be in the listing, it is much farther. I recommend having a car if you’re staying here. Some of the fixtures including the a/c in one of the rooms wasn’t working for our entire stay.

The house is gorgeous! I would love to stay here again soon. Luz is an incredible chef and her husband takes care of the grounds and brings home fish for her to cook. It's a great place to simply your life. Thank you again.

Wonderful Experience

The time we spent here was memorable and full of good times. There is a couple that lives on the grounds (this seems to be typical of most of villas - our friends had a similar setup). That said we were very well looked after. Google Translate is a amazing, we paid them to cook meals for us and friends and it was an amazing bargain. IT is a drive to the surf break - as result you have plenty of privacy and the pool is all yours. There seems to be excellent fishing right in front of the home. I would love to visit with Luis and his wife in the future While we loved the home and the location - Warning to people expecting a sanitized home like in Miami. Our favorite part is that you are open to the ocean (Bedrooms have AC) and you are having an experience with a new culture and environment. In my mind this is priceless - but maybe not for everyone Sincerely hope to visit again in the future

A wonderful stay in Playa Saladita

We had a great time at Casa Feliz Pescador. The owner was very helpful and made it possible for two extra beds to be added for our group at a reasonable extra charge. The caretakers of the property are so kind and lovely. We cooked, swam, surfed and relaxed. It is great house. Lots of privacy. Comfortable beds. Great wifi. Hot water. A nice 20 minute walk from the break. Definitely recommend!

Great vacation

We were a group of 3 couples and stayed for 2 weeks at this beautiful property. The owner David was easy to deal with and answered any questions that we had. The place is a little difficult to find but used google maps to locate it. The grounds and villa are beautiful and we spent many afternoons enjoying ourselves around the pool. Luis and Luz looked after the property and helped us with anything that we needed. Be aware that they do not speak English so knowing a little Spanish is helpful! We were able to walk the beach to the restaurants which took about 40 minutes one way. We would lose internet connection usually once a day, but only for a short time. I am looking forward to return to Casa Feliz Pescador for another great vacation.

Not the relaxing vacation I hoped for!

I really dislike writing negative reviews, but there are a few things to be aware of before staying at this property. My boyfriend and I rented this home for my bday on Thanksgiving week. There were just the 2 of us, with the intention of a private, romantic getaway. Upon arrival, the home was very difficult to find. Instead of dropping a pin, we got screenshots of maps with the road highlighted, and had to call the property mgr for help on facetime, but the house and grounds are very nice, once we found it! The lot, however large, is a long narrow one, so the neighbors are right next to you. If they want to blast music all day, you will be listening to it. Their property runs adjacent to the rental, so you see and hear each other and don't have privacy at all if you're at the pool or beach. They also have a large aggressive dog. I was on the pool deck moving an umbrella and looked up to see it on the deck maybe 5 feet away, barking and growling at me like I was an intruder, it was terrifying, and I am comfortable with dogs! The neighbors had to come over to get it, then it returned to our lawn and started barking at my boyfriend and I again, neighbors had to come again and put it away, but that had put a damper on our mood quite a bit. There are large piles of dog waste around the yard, so I assume it's at the rental house regularly. Before we arrived, I asked several days in advance to have fish tacos when we got in. I knew we would be exhausted and not want to cook. The fish and tortillas were very good, but our tacos consisted of fish wrapped in tortilla, which is not close to a 'fish taco' Most upsetting was that the caretakers, while very nice, were badgering me constantly. Possibly because I speak a little Spanish, but it got to where I felt like I was having to manage and run this household, when all I wanted was some peace and quiet and privacy! I couldn't even sit down and relax with a mug of tea, it was CONSTANT. They have a 7yr granddaughter who is with them all the time too. I finally told the property mgr to have them stop, so they locked the pantry, and we didn't really see them again. I was hoping for a professional balance of having them avail when wanted, but not in our space all the time. The property manager told me to deal with the caretaker directly, but be aware the caretakers have NO English. Unfortunately I can't recommend this property, though it is lovely, until they have more professional staff and management.

Este lugar es maravilloso, como espacios, tranquilidad, ubicaciĂłn. Lo mejor de lo mejor sus anfitriones y encargados de la casa Luis y Luz que son mĂĄs que espectaculares en su trato y atenciĂłn. Ellos preparan la mejor comida, deliciosa, al gusto del huĂ©sped es una comida llena de mucho amor. La playa es linda con algo de piedras pero de fĂĄcil acceso. Sin duda regresarĂ­amos al lugar y sĂșper recomendado. El Ășnico detalle que la comunicaciĂłn con el anfitriĂłn nada buena, no me contestĂł la llamadas cuando tuve dificultad en encontrar el lugar, la ubicaciĂłn que mando fue otra. Por lo demĂĄs todo excelente!!

Beautiful house

Luz and Luis are amazing. They are reason enough to stay. I know all the other reviews talk about their cooking but it’s no joke. Some of the best food you can get. The house is awesome and perfectly maintained. The only negative I can think of is that it is not 1km from playa la saladita. It is closer to 3km. We surfed every day but you need a ride to the point. Will definitely be back and stay there again.

Great place but location in description is misleading

First the bad: We were hoping to find a spot that was walkable to the Saladita surf break and the description said 1km from the break, which is very walkable. However, upon arrival we learned that the location is actually more than 3k (we mapped it) from the break which means it is not walkable and also not in view of the break. That section of beach is very rocky and we even tried to walk to town along the beach and turned around after 45 mins and we weren't even half way. For us, this very much defeated the purpose of the trip because we were hoping to work and be able to run out for a quick surf if it looked good. That was not possible and it forced us to coordinate driving amongst our group. We never received the exact location, even after booking, they just met us and we followed them to the house so we had no chance to cancel or know of this issue before we arrived. Once we arrived, I complained to VRBO and all they did was forward my email to the property manager so shame on you VRBO, you just lost my business! VRBO didn't even respond to my email or chats with their bot. Due to the location, we also lost electricity several times yet the main part of Saladita still had it so I had to go into town and pay for internet in order to get work done - another issue because of the location. Now the good: Almost everything else about this place was amazing. The house itself is fantastic and so are the hosts. We loved the pool and the layout. Luis and Mary were really nice and we enjoyed Mary's cooking often. If you don't mind driving into town and you don't need to be a digital nomad with virtual calls at specific times, then this place is amazing. If you are going there to surf, you probably want a place closer to town or be okay driving every day to surf.

Remote escape, perfect for family getaway

We stayed with 5 family members, 5 others at a different house nearby. Perfect space to have family dinners, family pool time, and options for a little space, too! This is a remote property, down a long dirt road. We loved the adventure! Only screens for doors, but perfectly safe and cool With the ocean breeze. Not a swimming beach, but great pool!! You can walk to Saladita for tacos or have Luis and Luc cook for you - we did this every night, such a treat!

House With A View

Staying here was a delight. If you want to spend some time away from crowds and just enjoy reading, the people you're traveling with, and some local wildlife this is the spot. The couple who take care of the house are wonderful and the food is truly outstanding. Highly recommend!

A piece of heaven

Best vacation ever! Overlooking the ocean from the infinity pool at night and day was special. Great surf around the corner. And not to forget: the house keeper couple who are not just super friendly but also the best cooks in the area. Much appreciated during those rather unsafe times (Covid). We are coming again!

Excellent vacation at Casa Feliz Pescador

I stayed at Casa Feliz Pescador in La Saladita for New Years with my family of four, including two teenagers. We were promptly welcomed by José Luis and Luz, the caretakers of the home and were awestruck by the property: beautiful gardens, ample spaces and a magnificent view of the ocean with a semi-private beach. The infinity pool is the perfect spot for endlessly staring at the ocean while sunbathing and star-gazing at night (bring lots of repellent, though). Next to the pool, the small cabaña with hammocks and lounge chairs is great to take a break from the heat and have some refreshments. Amazing stay.
