Lovely hotel, which is truly grand in its common spaces. They had decorated the amazing lobby with the 12 days of Christmas birds, maids a-milking, and other things from the song. The room was comfortable and clean.

The room was nice and confortable, but a bit noisy because it was a parking lot and a high traffic road. I woudl have asked for a room facing the courtyard. All together, the general level of the hotel does match the price but does not match the name.

Room is outstanding for the price. Breakfast was best buffet breakfast we’ve had. Really appreciated the fresh cut fruit and yogurt. Everything else was great also. We ate dinner Saturday night at the hotel restaurant probably wouldn’t do that again.

This hotel is in a perfect location for walking around Salem. Close to dining and shopping, the state Capitol, and the Riverfront. The buffet breakfast is impressive. Our room was large and comfortable with all the usual amenities. When we visit Salem, we make a point to stay at The Grand Hotel.
