Stayed in a basic single room, not en-suite but it was clean, quiet and comfy. Bathroom etc all fine, towels/shower gel provided. Staff friendly and helpful, breakfast a nice selection of options. Good value accommodation in a great peaceful location, very handy for the city centre & directly opposite the cathedral.

Parking was free and easily accessible. Shops in the city centre were very close and easy to walk to. The room was 'tired' and a little grubby - marks on bed base, chair very stained. Nice buffet style breakfast.

Ok, let me be clear. You don't stay here if you expect "high end" living. The beds are conformable but rooms are a bit dated. Breakfast is all right. You choose this for the historic feel and the sorrundings. Amazing! Expect to live in an historic house and an old institution, with all that comes with that. People are very friendly and the atmosphere is "old school" nice.

It's a nice feeling to be inside a college dorm and inside the Cathedral Close. The location is perfect. Our room was big with a bow window, but the curtains were not black out drapes. Breakfast was good and the parking on site was very convenient. The corridor was a little noisy when other guest talked at night or in the morning, but there were few of them. Overall, a great experience.
