Modern mountain chic near ski resorts with movie room

Great place for an outdoor adventure whether you want to enjoy Utah's world class skiing or exquisite summer beauty. With easy access to both Little and Big Cottonwood canyons, and the ski resorts, this 5 bed, 3 bath home has fabulous mountain views, wood floors and vaulted ceilings with lots of natural light. There is a cinema room and great layout for entertaining. It's perfect location for families, groups of friends or a corporate stay. Sleeps 10.

The House:
The house has a nice open plan arrangement on the main floor, with two eating areas and lounge. The dining room seats 8 people comfortably and the breakfast room has a round table for 4.

On the main floor is the master bedroom with en suite, two further double bedrooms and shared bathroom. The basement has the queen and twin bedrooms with shared bathroom, the movie room and games room. The basement windows are above ground level so it’s nice and light.

For children and adults there is a games room with football table and movie room. You also have use of a washer, dryer, free fast Wi-fi, fenced yard, patio, outside chairs, sun loungers and BBQ Grill.

The master bedroom has a large desk and chair if you need space to work.


Area:
Utah Ski House is located in Sandy, in a quiet, safe, pretty neighborhood close to Buttercup Park, with stunning views of the Wasatch mountains. Very close by are Sandy Library and a Smiths grocery store.

For skiing we are very accessible to Little Cottonwood Canyon, being 12 miles to Snowbird ski resort, and 14 miles to Alta ski resort. At Big Cottonwood Canyon it’s 16 miles to Solitude ski resort and 18 miles to Brighton ski resort.

For mountain biking you have these trails easily accessible:
Wasatch Crest Trail - Park City/Salt Lake City (IMBA epic ride)
Rush Trail, Corner Canyon - Draper

For hiking there are many stunning trailheads, which are all easily accessible from Utah Ski House.

For events, close by in Sandy is the Mountain America Expo Center (3 miles) and in downtown Salt Lake you have the Vivint Smart Home Arena (17 miles), which you can Uber to.

We have a house manual and useful tips documents. In the useful tips we point you to where you can hire ski equipment and also provide several options for the best discounted lift tickets.

You may park two cars in the garage. There is additional parking on the driveway. Do not park in the street. Please remove shoes in the house, thank you.

We have a Nespresso coffee machine if you want to bring your own Vertuo Capsules.

Everything about the property was excellent! Ease of access to town, ski areas and restaurants was perfect. The house was clean and communication with the host was excellent!! We will definitely book this property again.

Almost 5 star

The oven was not functioning which made Thanksgiving day meal very hard. Luckily my daughter lived close and saved the day. A good handful of things didn’t work as well. A broken dishwasher rack, which we were warned about, was easily fixed temporarily by my son-in-law. Can opener and wine screw broken but replaced by owner in a day. Drawer in kitchen broken, couldn’t get master bath tub plug to work. No TV, just Netflix. My son in law also fixed theatre room connections and was able to use his laptop to show a movie. No water or ice from refrigerator. Good things: neighborhood, lots of bedrooms with nice blankets and pillows, lots of space for family and dinner, beautiful views, quiet street, etc. I would consider staying again if owner assured me oven and refrigerator were fixed. He was very responsive and assumed responsibility. It was nice to have a garage to park in since it was icy cold outside.

Extended Ski Trip in SLC!

We really enjoyed our stay in Sandy. The house is very nice and conveniently located for those who will be constantly driving into Big and Little Cottonwood Canyons! I would recommend staying here.

Spacious and comfortable

The house is very spacious and comfortable. We were 6 adults and 1 toddler and fit in very well - with enough space to be together when we wanted and apart as needed. It is ideally located for skiing and shopping, with great views of the mountains. We had a minor issue with the internet but it was resolved with the help of an attentive host. Probably the best Vrbo we ever rented.

fantastic experience

Michael is a fantastic host - accommodating, flexible, responsive - all things I appreciate in a property host. If Michael could not personally fix a problem, he had friends in the neighborhood who were able to respond quickly when we needed assistance. The property is beautiful - tastefully decorated, well maintained, and in a safe neighborhood with wonderful views. It was a great fit for my family during a transition period between living overseas and eventually settling in Utah . Thanks Michael!

Plenty of Room in a well kept and stocked house

Our stay was hassle-free with great access to the ski areas we wanted to visit. Grocery stores, ski shops and restaurants were also nearby and helped make our stay run smoothly. If you are like me, and like to get cable or broadcast television to wind down in the evening, don't forget to bring your own streaming media player with a service that will give you access. It's in the information provided for the house when you book, but there is no cable or satellite TV service, although the smart TV in the living room does have Amazon Prime and Netflix Accounts you can use. We couldn't figure out anyway to cast to the TV form our laptops, so we went without all week.

Great Location, Very nice and super comfortable house.

My group had a wonderful stay. Solitude, Alta, and Snowbird are very close. The house is also very close to a grocery store, and plenty of restaurants. The accommodations were very comfortable, and far enough off the main streets that there was no road noise. There is a new coffee maker, and the kitchen is stocked with all that you would need. I would definitely stay here again.
