Welcome to Avalon IV, an AvantStay home! This home was featured on the Emmy award-winning TV show, Staycation!

Our open floorplan is great for entertaining. We hope you’re a fan of dinner parties! Head out to the deck to fire up a feast. If you’re feeling adventurous, Spruce Street Suspension Bridge and its killer views are only a 10-minute drive.

Nearby Attractions: Balboa Park, Seaport Village, San Diego Zoo, Spanish Village Art Center, Little Italy (Italian anyone?), San Diego Seaworld, Gaslamp Quarters (dining/shopping), Waterfront Park, Mission Brewery, Omnia Nightclub, The Morning After (breakfast), Lucha Libre Taco Shop, Biga (Italian), Coronado Golf Course, La Jolla Cove (30 min drive).

Home Truths:
- This home allows pets for a fee. If undisclosed pets are brought into the home without AvantStay's approval there is a fine of $500 per pet.
- Please note, we do not allow shipping or deliveries of parcels to any of our properties since we do not have access to mailboxes, and cannot guarantee delivery, receipt, or protection of your items at the property.
- Any amplified sound that can be heard within 50 feet away from your residence is prohibited. This home has a noise ordinance time between 10 PM and 8 AM, meaning even a normal conversation must be moved to inside the home during these hours.
- There may be partial obstruction of the view from neighbors' trees.
- Cover photo is of the entire building complex from another unit's patio.
- Driveway may be difficult for low-graded vehicles to park. There is limited street parking in the area.
- This home is located in a neighborhood with a strict noise ordinance policy and therefore is only suitable for quieter groups. Please make sure you are comfortable with these policies before renting this home, otherwise, if violations occur you may be subject to a fine that can reach up to $10,000.
- Bookings must be made at least 24 hours before check-in. Same-day bookings are not permitted.
- Absolutely no exterior amplified music is allowed. Violations will result in a $500 fine.
- While we do our best to notify guests in advance, unannounced power outages may occur due to unexpected city maintenance.
- No events are allowed unless pre-approved and coordinated through Avantstay. This includes but is not limited to: rehearsal dinners, wedding receptions, birthday parties, and social gatherings.
- All guests must comply with local laws regarding outdoor lighting, quiet hours, and limitations on parties or gatherings.
- Please note that there is a set of 10 stairs from the parking area to the unit entrance.

Accidental Damage Protection: A non-refundable accidental damage protection plan has been included in the price of your reservation. Under this plan, you will not be held responsible to pay for accidental damage or loss to the rental property resulting from you or others in your party up to $2000. This plan does not cover intentional acts of a guest, gross negligence, or willful and wanton conduct, and/or damages caused by pets. This plan is not available for reservations 28 days or longer or reservations that require a security deposit.

This is a smoke-free property. Violation of the no-smoking policy will result in forfeiture of the security deposit, a $300 smoking fee, and liability for any fire or property damage costs.

As part of our commitment to being good neighbors, occupancy limits and quiet hours (9pm-8am) are strictly enforced. No speakers or sound systems will be provided for use in our properties. Violation of any noise ordinances will be subject to fines that can reach up to $10,000 per violation.

Events or parties are not allowed without prior written approval and an additional fee. Any unauthorized parties or events will be shut down and a fine will be assessed. Please inquire for more information about our event policies and fees.

There is nothing more important to us at AvantStay than the health, safety, and experience of our guests & staff. We've enhanced our cleaning and sanitation protocols and are taking extra care to disinfect all surfaces between reservations with hospital-grade disinfecting solutions.

As a reminder, we do work with 3rd party vendors to maintain the property, and although we adhere to the strictest CDC guidelines and advise all contractors to wear PPE equipment, we can not always enforce. We strongly advise guests to please deny access if any vendors fail to meet and adhere to these standards.

IDs will be requested for verification after booking. All bookings over 30 days require a security deposit.

We report and prosecute all Credit Card Fraud.

Nice little spot tucked away in SD. Near the freeway and everything is close by (MCRD, Gaslamp, Little Italy). Had a nice stay, everything was clean and modern. The balcony was a really nice added bonus

Great property in a great location!

We loved our stay at Avant IV. The patio is so inviting and makes for some incredible dinners and afternoon teas. It was also a great space for me to do some design work. We loved the proximity to Little Italy, downtown, La Jolla etc. The hosts were very responsive and made sure our stay was comfortable. Highly recommend!

Nice relaxing stay

The neighborhood was quiet and the place was clean. The place needed a couple repairs but was attractively decorated. The driveway was steep and the kitchen had some essentials that we needed. The deck was wonderful but had no views.

Review

Overall, the property was well renovated and clean. The deck was beautiful and we used the grill. However, it is not fit for 6 people. There are two bedrooms with 2 beds that can fit 4 people. They provided one tiny measly cot (which just looked like sofa cushions stitched together) for the 5th person. We asked for another cot for our 6th guest and thankfully they gave us a twin air mattress. But just a heads up, if you are okay with your guests sleeping on cots/the couch then book the stay. I think the place is a bit overpriced for the amount of room.

Enjoyable but needs a couple of things

We other all enjoyed our stay and found the location to be perfect for getting around San Diego. Having the beach items was a great addition and was so helpful on our beach day. The space was very modern and chic with enough space for everyone to have their corner. It was unfortunate that there were no washcloths for us as guests and found other selves needing to purchase them on our trip. Additionally there was only one towel per guest for our 4 night stay which was not as noted. One other concern that came up was the quality of air in the space. we had a couple of people in the party that are sensitive to poor air quality and both mentioned that it seemed like there might be an underlying issue with mold in the space. Something to be mindful of.

Nice, well-appointed place. Dirty floors

The unit was lovely, well-decorated, well-appointed kitchen, lovely deck. Much of the space, particularly linens, etc., were clean and fine. However, I did notice the floors were extremely dirty and walking in socks for just a few steps resulted in black feet. Additionally, it appeared the toiletry bottles in one of the showers had not been cleaned/replaced, as I found a hair on one and they were nearly empty. Again, the place was very nice, I appreciated the fun games and knick-knacks available to guests. Just a few cleanliness details seemed lacking, and of course right now, we are all hyper-aware of those things. Otherwise, thanks for a great stay.

Beautiful!

We loved staying here! The outside patio was perfect for sitting down to a meal. The kitchen had everything we needed to prepare meals. The finishes were modern and updated throughout the whole house. The WiFi signal was too weak to be used in the master bedroom, but it was perfect in the living room/kitchen part of the house. The property manager responded promptly and was helpful. I appreciated the double security of a gate code and a front door code,l. The neighborhood was great. Very hilly! I would definitely stay here again. Four units all share the same gate... it would be great for multiple families to rent multiple units together!

Comfortable stay!

We enjoyed the property; well furnished, (for our purposes) well located, and comfortable. There was a problem with water leakage in one of the showers, but was handled by the property managers the day it was reported. We definitely enjoyed the deck with firepit and other amenities provided by the house. Our only concern was a very dirty floor; I think due to repaving of the street, black dust followed us inside the house. The tile floor was covered in it. Feet and socks were just coated in black dust. Other than that, we enjoyed our visit.

Close to everything

We really enjoyed this property. It was so close to the airport/Seaworld/freeway. The property was new and you could tell newly renovated. Everything we needed including laundy detergent. Easy access to get in through the gate and to the front door of the unit. We loved the outdoor patio and furniture and firepit. We used it almost every night. The property didnt have olive oil/ or condiments i think because it was alot newer. But would definately stay there again.
