This hotel does NOT match the photos online. It is in sad shape and desperately needs upgrading. Something used in our room gave myself and my son headaches so we had to sleep with the window open. Lightbulbs were out, hair in the bathroom (ceiling???) peeling paint, outlet not screwed into wall, trash under furniture. Will not be coming back.

Love the hotel, its clean and good for a couple nights stay. Went to the reef bar and their food was very good. Its not to far from old town san diego, its very convenient everything is so close by. Would definitely stay here again!

The reception staff were very blunt and not very friendly, the reception smelt like urine every time we went, we were put in rooms on the second floor and with people unable to carry bags as recovering from stomach surgery, and no lifts, this was a concern trying to manage bags for them. The bar staff by the pool were very friendly and approachable

The property was well maintained and the staff was very friendly. We loved the pool and car side cafe. Unfortunately the beds and pillows were not comfortable and there was no elevator for secon floor rooms. Our refrigerator did not work consistently and although the hotel advertised adjoining rooms, it was very difficult to ensure you get one. I called days ahead, the morning of multiple times and each time they said they would try. When I arrived, they told me I had an adjoining room when I actually did not. I went back down to the front desk and the were happy to move my room to a real adjoining room only this time when I entered the room, their were guest already in the other adjoining room. I went back down to the guest service once again and was given another set of rooms even further away. They were connected but it took over an hour to finalize my room as I had requested and followed up on many times that day in advance. I have worked at many hotels throughout the years and have a very clear understanding of how the room assignment works. It shouldn’t have been so difficult. Laughing our things around from second to first floor in the hot weather was a terrible start to our vacation. In addition to the room issues, I was never offered a map of the property and found myself wondering around trying to figure out where everything was. There was no mention of the returant or bar or pool hours in the room which would have been helpful to know.

The hotel is older and somewhat run down. The restaurants and service were great, but the rooms were old and dirty. Long hairs in the bathroom, pee or another yellow looking stain on the back of the door, the door and ceiling were warped from water and the windows barely opened.

Overall stay was great. Pool area was busy but beautiful. Room was clean but the bathroom was very small with very little counter space. Most rooms are accessible outside and the balconies/patios mostly face the parking lot. Its an older but well maintained building. Restaurant/bar were pretty decent.
