Nice hotel in the heart of San Francisco.

Staff very polite, knowledgeable and helpful. Trader Joe's right across the street. Everything is within walking distance from hotel. It's inconvenient to rent a car unless planning on traveling outside of San Francisco.

Easy access to transportation, staff was knowledgeable about food establishments open after midnight arrival and knowledgeable about travel around city.

Expected more

I had paid an extra amount of money to eat at the Marriott in the morning which had spoiled milk without me noticing as I shouldn't have to check milk cartons they have displayed for breakfast, I had opened the milk in the morning and started to drink some, chocolate slime and started getting. Instantly sick I called the staff that tried giving excuses and made me feel like I was wrong when clearly it wasn't explainable just a clear fact of horrible food and hotel service I had gotten sick in the morning and had to stay in the rest room for the last remaining 30 minutes of my stay before I had to leave uncomfortably with a upset stomach

Awesome!

Me and my wife had an awesome time in San Francisco and the San Francisco Marriott marquis was a beautiful hotel to stay at. It was very clean and and the room was perfect size, the bed was so comfy also. The hotel was in a perfect location right in the middle of union square and the shopping stores. I would definitely stay at the Marriott marquis again!

It was "Comical"

Pros: Location and food
Cons: Notify guests in advance if large events are being held.
The three of us were disappointed when we found out that the Comic Con event would take place on the same weekend we were staying at the hotel. The lobby and restaurants were packed all weekend. The lines to get on the elevators were extremely long. Not quite the relaxing weekend we had planned at least when it came to the hotel.

Very good experience

We had booked hotel for 4 people. But when we arrived all rooms with 2 double beds were occupied Mr Basil at front desk was checking us in. He immediately upgraded us to a suite and also waived off the extra charge. He very nicely also waived off the WiFi charges as they were not included in the room rate. Suite was very nice and spacious.
