Sunny side Bayview heights
My home is located in one of the sunnier sides of SF, an older home built in the 1940's so not very modern but cozy.
Small studio like space with a small bedroom that has bunk beds. You enter through the garage door. This is setup so guests can come in & out as they please. The space is small & cozy with all the amenities you need to cook or order in and watch TV. On smart TV you will find Disney+, YouTube and Xfinity (for local TV watching) Easy access to/from the freeway. Free and easy street parking available.(one private parking available )
Great place to stay. Very convenient to the bus. Avocado tree in the back yard was pretty cool I have to say. Having the washer and dryer was a big deal especially after traveling across the country for a week. Thanks
If you are looking for a place to stay for a couple nights on a budget with nearby public transportation, I recommend this place. I will say that having more than 3 guests can feel really tight, but it wasnât unbearable. I was adventuring primarily in the city most of the day and came back to sleep and it served its purpose. There are many concerns about the neighborhood online and by family living in the city, but I didnât feel unsafe. I never stayed out past dark hours for extra precaution. The host was kind and communicative. Overall good stay!
The price, location, and dog friendliness made it perfect for us. My fiance and I were traveling on a budget with our two dogs. We saw a show at Fox Theater in Oakland and this property was conveniently located for that. The back yard area is fenced in and very safe for dogs. The price per night is fantastic considering how expensive SF is. There's all the kitchen basics you need for the weekend, and it's clean and comfortable. The property owner has clearly put effort and thought into making this a wonderful place to stay. She was quick to respond via email during our stay and very hospitable. Highly recommend! One thing: the key pad to get in through the garage is sensitive and a bit tricky. It takes a few tries, but once you get it down, it's easy.
We spent 4 days in San Francisco and Karlas place was perfect for our stay. We could reach the city center easily by bus or tram within 45 min. The apartment was easy to find and access and is quiet, comfortable and very well equipped.
Place is just like advertized. Close to where my family resides and to the freeway. Parking is a little awkward if you have a truck but great for smaller vehicle. Other then that, perfect for the wife and I.
This property is PERFECT! Was extremely versatile with a large open space. Back patio / garden is absolutely delightful. Extremely clean with great amenities! Would absolutely recommend!
Was the perfect location for a one night stay with me and my partner. Very reasonably priced, well kept, and had all amenities needed for a weekend stay.
We felt at home there. I'd heard SF parking can be difficult so i was happy to have a place to park.
My mom and I had our Canadian Thanksgiving dinner here. It has a nice back patio for playing cards, the neighborhood is quiet, the owner was helpful and quick to respond.
Nice, but be careful if handicapped or accident-prone!
It was OK getting in - but it required undue effort (address/sign in code, etc). got the code to sign in, but due to faded numbers, needed to ask a passer-by for help. Also, fridge is in different room than kitchen - 1 step down, in "garage." yikes! Do not fall!
Plus, 2 small strange-angled steps to get to bathroom. Anyone with balance or a tendency to slip and fall - be ware - this happened to me. Otherwise clean, good internet and felt relatively safe. Thank you.
Clean, small yard, appliances, parking, minutes from The City
The neighborhood is a bit funky, but I felt safe and the rental was clean. Nice appliance package. I used Lyft, and my ride was there in four minutes. There is an off-street parking space which could be helpful. I would stay there again.
My husband and I shared this space with our 7yo son with Down Syndrome/Autism, and a close family friend - to celebrate Pride. My son was able to participate in his very first Pride Parade and having this space to call "home" for the weekend, was just what the doctor ordered. Everything we needed (plus some), in one place. And we felt safe. Definitely going on the Priority list of places to stay in the Bay ; ) - we'd choose this every time.
We loved how close this place is to SFC's must see places! And it's right off the freeway, easy to find. The place is in a very narrow street with parked cars everywhere, but luckily we could park right in the driveway. You walk through the garage to get to the separate apartment. There is a huge clean fridge, and inside a modern washer and dryer which was important to us. Laundry soap was provided. We loved the space we had. It was quiet, private and clean. The double bed was very comfortable. The bunk bed needs improvement. Not only does the upper bunk squeak like crazy every time you move but the room it's in is very tight and doesn't allow for much air flow. The kitchen was equipped pretty well but because most pots had their non-stick coating flaking off, I pulled out my own pots and pans. The oven runs on gas and you need to bring a lighter. I loved that we could cook our own meals and save so much money! The bathroom was tiny but nice. I loved that there was shampoo, conditioner and a blow dryer. The biggest complaint we had was that we were told not to flush any toilet paper down the toilet. It had to be discarded in a waste basket. It had a lid on but it was nasty to me and reminded me of our stay in Mexico. Nevertheless, I would stay there again.
Super affordable place that had everything we needed- a place for 4 of us, a nice kitchen setup with a table to eat at and play card/board games at night, laundry, and more. The location was in a "busy" area but was super quiet (we barely noticed or heard anyone on the upper floors, and even the nearby train wasn't an issue) and felt very safe overall. No issues whatsoever & the host was very responsive to questions and got back to us in a quick and timely manner. Don't pass this one up- highly recommended!
