The IL CASTRO estate with its numerous apartments, large green spaces and a panoramic swimming pool, fits perfectly into this harmony
Our guests will be welcomed in a unique context of its kind. The Castro was born in the thirteenth century as a rural village, on the via Frencigena, an ancient pilgrimage route. It is said that in the 16th century Michelangelo, on his way to Rome, stayed there for a few nights, being impressed by the ancestral beauty of the places. Today Il Castro opens up to international hospitality by offering 4 apartments finely recovered from a careful renovation in order to leave the signs of the past unaltered. The classic furniture, scrupulously decorated by local artisans is combined in perfect harmony with elements of fine design, giving a minimalist and refined effect. Extraordinary finishes in the bathrooms where the search for detail and the quality of materials transform the environment into something unique of its kind.
The outdoor space is truly extraordinary, located on the top of a hill, the view sweeps 360 ° offering breathtaking views, from the sight of the famous towers of San Gimignano, a medieval town declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in the south, to the mountain range of Apuan Alps to the north.
DESCRIPTION OF THE ENVIRONMENTS
The entrance of the apartment is located in the private garden, a small closet / laundry is located on the side of the large access staircase to the first floor.
Going up the stairs you enter the FIRST DOUBLE BEDROOM.
A large relaxation area with large windows acts as an antechamber to the large SALON,characterized by the eighteenth-century fireplace. The recovery of the original materials used in the restoration of this wonderful artifact is of great value. At the center of the living room is the large oval dining table in cherry wood set on a base with a modern base. The seats and the chandelier offer a virtuous example of how classic and made in Italy design can coexist within a lovingly designed renovation.
The view of the towers of San Gimignano, a unique panorama in the world, reminds us of how ephemeral the distance between dream and reality is.
The KITCHEN, separated from the living area, has large spaces and a large wooden table in Tuscan style. Particularly bright thanks to the large windows, it is equipped with all essential appliances.
From the living room you can access all the other rooms, the SECOND DOUBLE BEDROOM and the private BATHROOM, finally the THIRD BEDROOM located on the tower characterized by an internal sitting area with two sofa beds, a second BATHROOM for exclusive use, and an iron mezzanine. which allows access to the room itself.
Finally, a few words about brightness, certainly the unifying character of the whole environment, through the windows, real landscape views that recall the works of the local fourteenth-century painter Ambrogio Lorenzetti, the light is enhanced on the surfaces, lighting up the quality of the materials.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Tourist tax: € 1,50 per person (if over 12) per night (up to a maximum of seven nights) to be paid in cash upon arrival. The total of the tourist tax must be paid upon arrival: total days and total guests as indicated on the reservation.
Identity documents: all guests must be registered according to Italian law and the documents (photos and photocopies are accepted) of all guests must be presented at check-in regardless of the actual arrival date of each guest.
Check-in: from 3pm.
Check-out: before 10:00.
UTILITIES
Utilities are included for stays up to 30 nights.
In case of stays longer than thirty nights, the utilities are charged to the guest.
