The house is beautiful and very centrally located. Couldn't have picked a better spot. Home is very well equipped and plenty of comfortable beds and linens.My only complaint is that if you left one spec of food anywhere and I mean anywhere. Kitchen, bathroom, bedroom there was about 5 million ants. We tried and tried to keep up on dishes, etc. but with pets and an occasional piece of dog food left about we spent a lot of the weekend battling them and to come home to a four lane freeway of ants each time was a bit disconcerting. Not sure if they do already or not, but may want to leave something like Terro around and also get a company to do monthly proactive sprayings.That being said I would stay here again!

Douglas was a very informative and accommodating host. He was prompt with his replies to me questions and flexible with my request. The property is wonderful with an amazing view, and the location puts you within walking distance of everything you may want to do in Cayucos. Quick and easy access to the highway makes out of town activities very accessible. The Gathering Place itself has a well appointed kitchen and all the amenities amenities a group or family might require. Internet service was very solid. I recommend this property, and I will book The Gathering Place again myself.

The house exceeded expectations. It was well stocked with everything you need to cook. Beds were comfortable. We had 4 generations staying a couple of the days during our stay. The grandkids had so much fun at the beach, which was literally across the street. Little bunnies on the front lawn were so cute to watch. Playing pool on the pool table was a plus and the books and games were awesome. The host was great, very friendly and helpful.

The location of this VRBO is perfect! Walking distance to the beach, pier, food and best of all across from Cayucos Landing Veteran’s Hall. The main living space is spacious and has a beautiful view of the ocean! The kitchen/dining area was clean and roomy. Beds were comfortable and we really enjoyed the pool table. This is a great place for family and friends! Any questions we had were addressed quickly by Doug. Highly recommend! Thank you very much!

Everything about the house was great! Good kitchen, fully stocked, plenty of space, super close and easy walk to the beach (2 minutes) and shops. Would for sure recommend. The beds are also super comfortable, which is a hard find at rentals.

The property itself is very lovely in its location, cleanliness, and provisions.What was unfortunate is the lack of description on each of the bedrooms. When I messaged Doug specifically about what the room locations were and type I feel as though I was misled. The family each needed their own bathroom and so that was the most important thing. Doug stated that the upstairs bedroom had an en suite bathroom. This is absolutely correct and accurate. What he did not say is that the upstairs bedroom is definitely not the primary bedroom, which you would assume automatically, but a walled in oversize closet. Approximately 6 1/2 feet wide by 9 feet long. you could barely get into the bed on one side and the bed was nailed to the wall so I couldn’t even move it to make it equal on each side for both people. Not only that.. there is not one single window in the bedroom. Not one. Talk about claustrophobia! There is a There is an antique dresser in the bedroom, which was wonderful since there was no room for suitcases. We promptly unpacked and left our suitcases in the living room.The doors, were closet doors that open out onto the area where the pictures show a pool table. The bathroom itself was fine. There was a very small stall shower, toilet and sink.The other bedrooms were all extremely lovely with lots of airy windows and pretty curtains.The view from the property is spectacular. So I would definitely recommend this if you did not need to use the upstairs bedroom as a bedroom.

The home was wonderful in the convenience and comfort. From the bedrooms and the kitchen the living room even the garage, all upgraded furniture, new modernized kitchen with every type of device needed for any type of cooking, beach, chairs, and towels, comfortable beds with super soft sheets, new couches that we just sink into and of course, the location and view of the ocean or just the highlight. I can’t say enough this was just a wonderful place to have a family gathering.
