Pros: the sand right out the back door was awesome, a big hit with the kids. Linens were comfortable, plenty of bath towels, beautiful sunset views. Lots of board games, nice living room to gather, big dining table. Beautiful beach! Outdoor shower for sand. Cons: not very clean at checkin. Lots of sand, dust, cob webs, smudges on walls / furniture, and stains (on the bath towels and the sheets / pillow cases). There was a left behind item of clothing from the last guests, so not tidied very thoroughly. Temperature control and lighting were lacking; no AC, and only one ceiling fan in the living room (not in any bedrooms), nor were there any plugin fans. It says remodeled in the listing but perhaps hasn’t been updated in a while - even the pictures were a bit different than our experience. There were no smoke detectors. Iffy hot water from showers. Like most homes on the beach, the patio furniture was very worn out and in need of replacing, walls needed a touch up, def a home ready for some tlc. There are a few things that could have made the stay more seamless: if they provided tissues and extra trash bags, guest beach towels, having digital locks, cushions on the patio or an updated patio area. The layout is a little odd - sort of confusing with the parking, garage, little garage apartment, etc). FYI that cars can drive on this beach so you can’t easily set up chairs on the sand all day as there are trucks driving through. Sand in front of house is great though!
