My trip to El Salvador was amazing, and staying at Barceló San Salvador made it even better. The hotel was very clean, comfortable, and in a great location with beautiful views of the city and surrounding mountains. The staff was friendly, professional, and always willing to help with anything I needed. The room was spacious, the bed was comfortable, and everything felt safe and well maintained. The pool area and restaurant were great, and the breakfast options had plenty of variety. It was a perfect place to relax after exploring the city and nearby attractions like the volcano and Ruta de las Flores. I also booked through Travelocity and the process was smooth and easy. Everything was exactly as expected when I arrived, and the booking experience was simple and reliable. Overall, I had a great solo trip and would definitely recommend Barceló San Salvador to anyone visiting El Salvador. I would absolutely stay here again.

This hotel falls short in every aspect. It is nowhere close to an actual 4 star hotel. The service was terrible from the moment we arrived. There was a group of employees out front and no one even cared to greet us. There is no valet parking. The 10th floor “VIP lounge” felt neglected and again, no one cared to provide any level of service. The elevators took far too long. The whole hotel smelled musty and dirty. In the US, this hotel would be a 2 star hotel. It was terrible and I would not recommend to anyone.
