The Great Lake Escape - 1 mile to downtown PC / Walking distance to City Beach

The Great Lake Escape is a 3 Bedroom 1 Bath home near the City Park / City Beach in Port Clinton, Ohio.

The home offers a stylish Jack Daniels Whiskey Barrel Table and Bar Stool dining area to enjoy a movie, a drink or a fun game of darts (or all of the above!). This area also doubles as a work area if need be!

Driveway parking available for 1 Truck / Trailer & boat with (2) outdoor plug ins available for charging boat batteries. On Street (free) parking available (and almost always available directly in front of the home).

We hope you will quickly notice the cleanliness of the home, and of course all the comforts of home!

Check the Hot Spot board in the kitchen for area attractions including Food Favorites, Fun Locations, Area Attractions, Fishing spots and contacts and more.

We we will be adding as we go to enhance our guest's stays!

We have also provided a wonderful bit of entertainment in the main room including the Big Screen 65” 4k UHD TV ( you can stream all your favorites with your personal log ins) and w/ blue tooth sound bar in the living area (that you can also use to enjoy your favorite tunes (streaming them however you like on the fast, complimentary WIFI).

You'll quickly notice "The Coffee Dock" in the kitchen. This features complimentary Keurig K cup Coffees, flavored creamers, sugars, Splenda and mugs to help get your days started....or to wind down in the evening if that's your style. We’ll add complimentary items here as they become available, but Coffees and creamers are a staple of the coffee Dock!

Bedrooms are clean, cozy and comfortable with fresh soft linens and plenty of pillows! Master bedroom with Queen size Bed has a 24" HDTV provided (streaming capable / no cable). Other 2 bedrooms now have 24" and 32" HDTV's in the back bedrooms (Streaming options).

As previously mentioned we've tried to complete your vacation stay by providing all basic, and not so basic cooking utensils and supplies! We’ll stock plenty of cooking oils to prepare your favorite dishes, and will begin to stock the home with many tasty spices so you can kick it up a notch!

Grill and Chill !!
The Garage area is available for outdoor relaxation with an outdoor glider, indoor/outdoor bench and Adirondack chairs + Bistro set and more.......and an outdoor grill area featuring an excellent Weber grill and utensils. Nothing “fancy”, but we have updated the paint and flooring for the 2025 season, and have also added a gorgeous 55" Wall Mounted 4K Tv to the garage area! Watch TV and relax with a drink @ the Grill!

A nice area to enjoy a relaxing afternoon or evening in Port Clinton, Ohio (with plenty of seating for your guests).

Home is equipped with the following Surveillance cameras, fully disclosed locations and monitoring areas as agreed by all VRBO Hosts:

Property was as described, very clean, lots of amenities and supplies that I haven't seen offered at other properties. Neighborhood was quiet, train dies run frequently, but its hardly noticeable off in the distance. Owner was very responsive and checked-in during our stay. Lake & Park very short walk from property.

Cedar Point trip!

We had a great time! The main focus of our trip was to visit Cedar Point for the first time and ride the new coaster, Siren’s Curse! It did not disappoint..so super fun! We had a blast feeding the animals at the African Safari as well. It was a short but memorable trip for all! Also, Lake Erie and the sunsets are beautiful! Our hosts were responsive and helpful! We hope to visit again!

Best host ever!

The property was clean, beautiful, and had all the things that we needed plus little extras that added a coziness and inviting air. The host went above and beyond by providing drinking water during a boil water advisory. Beds were comfortable, there was a coffee bar that I loved and even a lake bag ready for some beach time. My family and I enjoyed a couple meals cooked using the gas grill and played several fun games of darts. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend this home to others.

Nice property, very responsive host.

This is a nice property that is well taken care of. Some of the surrounding houses are a little run down and shabby but it's a quiet area with very little traffic. The roads are very narrow which made backing in a boat a little interesting but it wasnt too bad. The host was extremely responsive and does a very nice job.

Good Guys Fishing Trip Stay

Stayed with 3 guys for a short fishing trip. House was perfect. Beds were comfortable. There was a bar within walking distance, Beer 30. Good local drinking location. Nothing fancy but nice people. House had a nice bourbon barrel table to sit around and drink and a dart board next to it that we threw a couple games of darts. House was perfect for our needs.

Our stay at The Great Lake Escape in Port Clinton was wonderful! The home was exceptionally clean, well-maintained, and had everything we needed for a cozy winter retreat. The space was thoughtfully stocked with all the essentials, from a fully equipped kitchen to comfortable beds and a relaxing living area—perfect for unwinding after a chilly day.While we didn’t spend much time by the lake due to the season, the location was still great for exploring local restaurants and attractions. It was the perfect place to relax, recharge, and enjoy a peaceful getaway.The host’s communication was excellent, making check-in and the entire stay seamless. We had no issues at all, which made the experience even better.I highly recommend The Great Lake Escape for anyone looking for a clean, cozy, and well-managed place to stay, no matter the season. We’d definitely book again!

Annual Adult trip

We are a group of friends that camp together, and have ended our camping season with an adult weekend, so as to drink and not have to watch our mouths so much around the kids. Last year we decided to stay in a condo, and this year we did a house. This house was well equipped and very comfortable!!! We enjoyed the location, not on the water, but very close! The host was fantastic too work with, and I I would highly recommend their place in Port Clinton to my friends and family!

Great time in Port Clinton

House exceeded our expectations. All the small details were though of, and we were well taken care if. We loved our stay!!! Would rent again. Only negative feedback that is unavoidable was the train you could hear that was located near by. Otherwise it was perfect!

Steve was a great property manager and was super responsive. We were there for a business trip and didn't get to enjoy many of the amenities the house had or the area much, but we did enjoy having the grill and the nice laundry machine.

Cute cottage

We really enjoyed our stay. It’s very close to the public beach and parks. Port Clinton has several great shops and restaurants- only minutes away. My husband and son enjoyed playing darts in the living room. The garage/man cave was a great bonus space. I personally loved that the cottage still had some original character details. It was also a very nice, quiet neighborhood. It was exactly what we were looking for! We highly recommend it for all ages and families of all sizes!

A comfortable place to have a vacation.

Beach in walking distance, very nice park in walking distance, and many resteraunts in a few minute drive (5 to 10). Places to do shopping, close to jet express, not a bad drive from cedar point, and if you love fishing the marina is close to grab a charter.
