The Space: This residence is a third floor luxury condo and one of the best situated and appointed in all of Loggerhead Cay (more than 168 units so this is indeed saying something). It features a direct gulf front exposure and is positioned parallel to the beach (unlike most units in this development that feature only angled views) with two private balconies, one with a sunset facing orientation and the other a beachfront orientation. As can be seen in the pictures, this unit is fantastically appointed and upgraded, featuring multiple flat screen TVs, new appliances, granite counter tops, an elevated sitting area in living room, and renovated bathrooms. Unit includes premium cable, high speed wifi, and smart keyless entry. Additionally, two bikes are included for free with this unit. This is truly a special property that has so much to offer!
For those unfamiliar with the location of this residence, it is situated on the desirable East End of Sanibel, which is equidistant to almost every sought after beach on Sanibel and directly facing Sanibel`s Lighthouse Beach, widely considered its best. You will be near to restaurants, shopping, and activity, while still far enough removed to be reminded that you are on vacation and provided ample opportunity to socially distance away from the hustle bustle that can characterize island life during season. This location is also advantageous in that it provides quick on and off access to the causeway, as to allow guests a quick commute into and from Fort Myers without having to contest with Seasonal traffic. Getting Around: Loggerhead Cay is centrally situated on Sanibel Island, just a three minute drive to the Sanibel Causeway and subsequently Fort Myers. We are less than a 45 minute commute from RSW, the regiona airport servicing Southwest Florida. Uber is available on Sanibel and bikes can be included in your rental.

I loved the view, the location and the pool. However, our individual unit was so dirty I could not sleep. There were filthy pillows and mattress pad covers.
I don't mind dated but the linens and furniture were so dirty. The shower had mold. The washer and dryer were so dirty I would never use them. I would never stay there again unless they bought all new furniture, pillows, bed linens, carpet and gave the place a deep clean.
The property was right on the gulf. Beautiful views. Beautiful pool. Excellent beach. Condo was comfortable, although it was a bit dated. Furniture older. Beds comfortable! Carpet needed either a good scrub or removal. Kitchen had some good items like a knife sharpener but didnât have enough spoons to get thru a day for 4 people. Frying Pans were old but worked well. Several items needed repair but management was on it. Management of condo was very responsive. One interesting note, if you ship to condo it goes to the Loggerhead Cay office. They leave on porch and do not notify you of delivery. I was told ânot our job.â Overall pleasant stay but perhaps not a luxuriously appointed condo. But you are at the beach where itâs supposed to be echletic.
We loved are stay at Loggerhead Caye. This is arguably the best condo location on the property. The views are incredible and there is no traffic or noise outside the condo door. Having breakfast and dinner in the large screened in lanai was easily one of our daily highlights as we gazed on the open beach and Gulf waters. The property manager was also very responsive to our queries. We had some issues with the bike lock and the broken beach umbrella that we had to resolve, but the manager was quick to address. Our only complaint is that the property is a bit tired from use and is in need of some general upkeep, including the worn out bikes. We stopped at a local bike shop who was generous enough to lube the rusted corroded chains and fix one of the seats. Also, the closet housing the air conditioner was filled with dust and grime around the door frame, and the air vent in the master bedroom showed dark streaks on the ceiling which were a bit unnerving. All in all, we'd still rent here because the views and location are dynamite.
Great location that was off the main road, but quickly accessable to restaurants and shops. Amazing views from the condo and quick access to the beach.
