La Fenice â Historic 95ft Motor Yacht, Crew & Breakfast Included
Step aboard a piece of maritime history. La Fenice is a 95-foot classic motor yacht designed by the legendary naval architect Laurent Giles and launched in 1962 as the British mothership for the 1964 Americaâs Cup in Newport, Rhode Island. She has since served with the French Navy and was owned by the celebrated photographer Peter Lindbergh. Her interiors were redesigned by Christian Liaigre â one of the most respected names in French design â in rich dark woods, leather, and clean architectural lines that feel more like a boutique hotel than anything youâd expect to find on the water.
Today she is berthed in La RĂ pita, a quiet fishing town on the edge of the Ebro Delta Natural Park in southern Catalonia â one of the Mediterraneanâs last unspoilt stretches of coastline. This is not the crowds of Barcelona or the marina scene of the Balearics. It is wild rice paddies, pink flamingos, empty beaches, and some of the finest seafood in Spain, straight off the boats and onto your plate.
La Fenice sleeps up to 9 guests across four private staterooms â three with double beds and one twin â each with its own ensuite shower room and hair dryer. The yacht is fully air-conditioned and heated, so she is comfortable whatever the season. All linen and towels are provided.
On the VRBO platform, La Fenice operates as a luxury bed and breakfast on the water. Breakfast is prepared for you each morning by the crew, who are also on board for your safety and to help you get the most out of your stay â from restaurant recommendations to arranging excursions. As with any B&B, other meals are not included, and the galley is a crew area rather than a guest kitchen. La RĂ pita has some of the best seafood restaurants in Catalonia right on your doorstep. For guests whoâd like to dine on board, we can arrange anything from a private chef to additional catering â just let us know what you have in mind.
On arrival, you will be welcomed aboard with a Cava and nibbles reception hosted by the crew â a relaxed introduction to the vessel combined with a short safety briefing. For guests staying more than one night, we will host a Cava reception each evening of your stay to start the night in style.
Your booking covers the dockside stay aboard La Fenice with crew, breakfast, welcome and evening Cava receptions, and all linen and towels. For anything beyond that â a day exploring the Ebro Delta aboard La Fenice, a night at anchor under the stars, additional catering, or anything else you have in mind â contact us directly and weâll put together something bespoke around your trip.
La RĂ pita itself is a relaxed, walkable town with excellent restaurants and a genuine local character that larger resorts lost long ago.
La Fenice is berthed in a working marina and we operate under a strict code of conduct that all guests must agree to before booking is confirmed. This covers noise, behaviour, and respect for the vessel, crew, and marina. It is non-negotiable and our crew are empowered to enforce it. The code of conduct will be shared with you in full before you commit, so there are no surprises â we just ask that you read it carefully and understand that it applies throughout your stay. A refundable damage deposit also applies.
This isnât a holiday let that happens to be on a boat. Itâs a yacht with sixty years of extraordinary history, a world-class interior, and a crew who genuinely care about making your stay exceptional. There is nothing else like her on VRBO.
