Self-catering apartment, a legally licensed tourism property of Portugal with Registration No. 22187 / AL in Santa Cruz with stunning views of the city, beach and mountains, this property offers a great place to rest in a residential area. Quiet and safe, close to all amenities.
With 1 bedroom with double bed, 1 bathroom, kitchen, 1 living room and a large terrace, sleeps 2 people.

The kitchen is fully equipped with fridge / freezer, hob and oven, microwave, toaster, electric kettle, coffee machine, washing machine, cooking utensils and dining table for 2 people.

Upon arrival we will be in the apartment to receive you and hand over the keys.
Santa Cruz has a pebble beach as well as a public swimming pool and a water park (open during the summer months). There is a beautiful promenade by the sea where you can walk or just sit and relax enjoying the amazing view.
There are many restaurants, cafes, traditional shops a supermarket and a farmers market, pharmacy and post office. Santa Cruz has a wonderful climate all year round.
There is a bus terminal where you will find a transport network that can take you to various parts of the island, as well as the express service to Funchal.
We are about 10 minutes from the airport.
And 15 minutes from Funchal
There are many outdoor activities available in Santa Cruz and throughout Madeira, golf courses, diving, paragliding, fishing, famous Levada tours, museums, traditional street markets, public gardens, churches, protected reserves and much more. To see and do.

PERFECT

The Property in which we stayed is a one bedroom with ensuite shower and WC, one bath, kitchen and lounge and it has a large terrace overlooking the beautiful town of Santa Cruz and the Ilhas Desertas with a lovely panoramic view of the Atlantic and the surrounding Mountains It was perfect for us as a couple. The property owners, Fatima and Jose who are a wonderful couple and great hosts are always ready to help if you need them, Best stay thus far. Silvia and Lancelot

Een heerlijke plek met altijd wat te zien.

Het appartement is schoon, ruim genoeg voor twee en voorzien van alle noodzakelijke benodigdheden. Het balkon is naar drie zijden geweldig en er is een fantastische parkeerplek voor een auto. De beheerder is zeer vriendelijk en goed bereikbaar. Wij als vijftigers hebben er enorm van genoten en vinden het een echte aanrader. Angela en Joost.

Charming property, accurately described. Excellent & friendly owner support

Great views of sea and mountains. Balcony on three sides & not close to other properties allowed one to sit in or out of the Sun and if windy to avoid that side. Clean, nice fittings & bathroom, WiFi too - ideal for a couple. Self catering was great as we could eat when it suited us and could choose what we saw looked fresh & interesting in the local markets & shops. Walking into the town centre isn't really far but very steep and down hundreds of steps along a paved/stepped path. As I'm 79 and my wife 76 we did it once 'for fun' but cheap taxis at Eu 4 were the mode thereafter. Only a five minute taxi run into the centre of Santa Cruz and plenty of taxis on call whose drivers knew exactly where this accommodation was located. Being near to the airport meant an inexpensive and short taxi ride to the flat, saved hiring a car and queuing with everyone at the airport desk as we walked straight out to the taxis and were whisked within minutes to the property. Santa Cruz has plenty of cafe/restaurants, but also a friendly supermarket and a fresh veg/fruit/wine/fish market on the shore line. A local speciality we found was bread made with a proportion of what we were told was sweet potato flour - absolutely delicious. The accommodation owners welcomed us in person, both speak English fluently and ensured everything was taken care of as well as kindly running us back to the airport on the last day. [Actually Fatima went far beyond that. Due to windy weather conditions the plane was cancelled and we needed to find a hotel at short notice - like many others stuck too & the airport staff were overwhelmed. Fatima was telephoned, drove out to collect us and baggage and drove into town to find us something & worked her magic on the owners of the nice new hotel bom Jesus to find us a room. I can recommend this 'The House of the Gazebo' for all the above reasons.

Ordentliche Wohnung mit tollem Fernblick

Die Wohnung war bei Bezug in sauberem Zustand. Die Gastgeber hatten uns einen großen Obstkorb, Brot und KĂ€se besorgt, dass wir uns gleich einen Snack machen konnten. Ein toller Blumenstrauß stand auch auf dem Tisch, was alles sehr wohnlich machte. Es gab eine große Tafel mit wichtigen Infos, allen Telefonnummern, Wegbeschreibungen zum Supermarkt etc. Sehr hilfreich. GesĂ€ubert wird die Wohnung einmal pro Woche und das auch wieder sehr ordentlich. Man hat seinen eigenen Parkplatz fĂŒr das Mietauto, Waschmaschine, Leine, Klammern, alles da. ZusĂ€tzlichen Service bekamen wir beim Abholen vom Flughafen. Da wir uns nicht ins WLAN Netz des Flughafens einloggen konnten, hatten wir keine Ahnung wohin fahren. Da hat uns Jose kurzum einfach an verabredeter Stelle abgeholt und nach Hause gebracht. Danke dafĂŒr. Und eine zusĂ€tzliche Decke bekamen wir auch, nachdem wir feststellten, dass es fĂŒr uns bequemer ist. Außerdem standen beide jederzeit bei Fragen zur VerfĂŒgung und die Kommunikation war sehr einfach, weil beide sehr gut englisch sprechen.
