I called for early check in a day before reservation.I was told by the lady on the phone ok no problem.Got to hotel about 1:15 and lady at desk was very rude.She said i could not check in unless. I paid a additional 30 dollars and i would have to wait until 3:00. She was not helpful or accommodating. Would not stay again.

Overall the room was sleep able except I had a room on the outside and heard all the street noises. The Room smelt like DOG. I travel with a good declawed cat that does not leave any such stink.

the staff were very hospitable, kind and helpful, the room was clean and comfortable, we were able to park in a convenient spot and tried to take advantage of the pool but it was later in the day and it was a little cold for us, but we did sit out by the pool and had a nice time

BAD communication & Customer Service

Our home was flooded during the Texas storms of July 2025. We had to postpone our trip to Colorado (going through Santa Fe) I reached out via Hotels.com to see if we could change our stay at all 3 hotels we had booked. Only the hotel in Amarillo was amiable. I never heard from La Quinta about a refund or rebooking and neither did Hotels.com So I paid for a stay I was never able to have…but they did send me an email asking for how my stay went… We usually stay here each summer for this trip. Don’t think we will in the future.

Clean and comfortable

The room was clean, and the bed was perfectly comfortable! I liked that the bathroom even had good toilet paper (not that thin stuff that you have to use a yard of). Breakfast was delicious and had a lot of different options. I would definitely recommend this hotel!

I asked for ground floor , fridge ,microwave. When I got there it was extra for ground floor, no fridge or microwave. Had to call twice to change rooms. Wouldn't recommend this place to put your dog in. Will never go back.
