Spa very expensive and same with their store. Staff exceptionally welcoming and amazing customer service that way - housekeeping/minibar were also excellent. There is not snorkelling out front of this resort for those who would like that.

Facility is older, beds were uncomfortable. Rooms were clean, staff were friendly. Facility is not designed for teenage kids, limited pool access, no gym access. Resort is dominantly Mexican national tourists, food at resort caters to them. Food quality is good at A la cartes, poor at buffets.

My stay at Barcelo with my family and girlfriend was very fun and relaxing. The weather was nice every single day, the water was clean and refreshing and the staff were excellent. Mario was our server for the Christmas Eve dinner and he did a wonderful job. Props to him. Only valid complaint is that our room was directly overtop of the bar, a couple nights I woke up to the sound of bass and music. The food was delicious and the resort was nice and tidy. I would definitely recommend staying at Barcelo! Que tengas un buen año Nuevo

As much as I really just like leaving poor reviews, I really have to be honest. I am not new to the Barcello brand. However, this was my first time visiting this specific location. There was nothing impressive about it. And no wow factor, I did not receive mostly any of my VIP services I got a small room on the basement floor. I had to go as kindly to get at least to the second floor when I booked Ocean paid for premium services. I did not receive those. It was really hard to let staff know as the female staff are very rude. I had better luck with the male stuff, and so did my husband. I just don’t understand why we’re paying premium services for a sub car services. I did not receive the discount. I was supposed to have. I did not receive much of the recognition, and the rooms had mold in the showers, and there was a lot of bugs around the sink. It seemed that everybody is in a busy hurry, and really do not know what to do when you mentioned things like this there.
