The bright and colorful living area is cozy, with a fireplace and an open flow to the dining room and gourmet kitchen. The primary suite features a king bed, a private bath, and its own porch for a relaxing spot to sip your morning coffee. A laundry-mud room leads to a peaceful backyard surrounded by woods.

Upstairs, a charming nook with patriotic art sets the tone for the second-floor rooms. The guest room has hummingbird décor, and the nautical-themed bunk room is perfect for the kids. Both rooms share a Jack-and-Jill bath with separate vanities.

Great location, comfortable home

We stayed here as a family of 4 with two young kids plus my mom joined us. The house is located in a quiet neighborhood that is a short drive to Seaside. Walking to the beach is doable but keep in mind the entrance is a set of steep stairs to the beach so you’d have to leave any wagon, stroller etc at the top. The house comfortably fit our group and we had plenty of space. The guest house had a couple of issues upon our arrival but management promptly addressed them. The front screened-in porch was great for relaxing in the mornings and evenings or eating a meal.

Nice property that needs some TLC. Beds were comfortable. The couches are very old sleepers with shot cushions.Kitchen supplies are a hodgepodge. Busy culdesac.On the plus side, the management company was very responsive when we had an issue or needed something. We enjoyed the front screen porch and the locations. Bikes were in good shape. All in all a pretty good value for the neighborhood.

LOVED our time at Sugarwood

So spacious and airy and beautiful! We relaxed more at this house than we have in years. Loved the carriage house for the older kids! Nice walk to the beach and so close to seaside. Will definitely book here again!

The property was exactly as described and pictured in the listing. Wonderful house and location nestled in a cul-de-sac of a quiet neighborhood. Close to public beach access and a relatively short walk, bike or golf cart drive to the city center. Highly recommend.

Great home great location

Loved staying at this home again. It’s our 3rd time and it’s always the best trips. House is perfect space for our group. Having the carriage house makes a great space for married children. Will be staying again for sure.

Perfect house for a girls trip over to 30A! House had everything we needed, including bikes to take a short ride over to seaside and the beach. Loved the garage apartment for extra quiet space. Would definitely stay here again.

Great family house

Renting this property was pretty easy; check in a breeze with door code. We had five adults & three teens. The bunk beds were a bit of a problem because all our teens are over 6’ tall. Our only issue was lack of response with a few problems at the house. We sent emails stating what needed addressing and never received any response. None of the problems were major but I hope they will be fixed before the next renters arrive. One thing was that of the three bikes, only one lock worked so we were not able to use the other two. We notified the office; no response. On the positive side, the house is in a nice, quiet neighborhood not far from the beach. There were beach chairs available for our use. All in all it was a very enjoyable trip!

Impressed

This warm and inviting home was nestled at the end of a cul-de-sac in a beautiful neighborhood with quite stately homes sprinkled in. Humming bird cottage is a place I will definitely stay at again. The living area is ample and open, it is decorated in a fun beach theme, has ample room for several guests, and is very cozy. Our teens loved the mother-in-law suite and we loved that they had their own space to hang out. The kitchen was nice and we enjoyed having breakfast and lunch there most days. Of a morning I walked throughout the beautiful neighborhood and then to the beach. I even saw a hummingbird. Although, I had to rescue it because it flew into the screened in porch, and I gently had to push it’s little beak out of the screen. Try this place out, I think you will be surprised at how lovely it truly is. It’s away from the hustle and bustle but then you are just a short walk (or you can ride one of the bikes) to the beach or to the Plaza.

Not great weather, but great fun anyway

Our grandkids were in school so we had a few days of quiet. I loved hanging out in the 3rd floor cozy space. I want one of these in my house! The grandkids were there on the weekend and we had plenty of space and lots of fun. The bikes were great and the kitchen had most of what we needed.

Needs a little fixed up but good location

This property had a great location but there were a few issues with the property. The lighting fixture in the guest house fell onto the bed, there is a leak in the ceiling in the kitchen above the sink, the porch was really dirty, and there were cockroaches in master bedroom. We enjoyed our stay but some updates need to be done.

We had an excellent stay overall. Great entertaining space, cul de sac location, large front porch, great top floor room with a view. Our only negative (and the reason for four stars) was the quality of the master bed which was too soft and did not allow for good rest for my wife and I. Other than that, an excellent stay.

Close to the beach, but secluded enough for more of a neighborhood feel that's quiet

Great house that felt like a home. We thoroughly enjoyed our two weeks at Hummingbird. Very clean. Great space to be able to have two people working virtually (and talking on conference calls). Quick walk or bike to the beach. It had everything we wanted. Would definitely rent again.

Beach Getaway

Loved our stay here! The house is very charming and spacious. Everything was clean, with Covid there weren’t any decorative pillows or extra blankets around the house. Which was fine but we were glad to have brought extras. The screened in front porch was wonderful. We did end up renting a golf cart, which we highly recommend for carting your gear to the beach but also to make quick runs to Seaside Watercolor or Publix. The house is exactly half a mile from the 30A beach access so it’s definitely doable without a golf cart. Overall highly recommend the hummingbird cottage.

Lovely beach house

Our family loved the Hummingbird Cottage! It’s location on the end of a quiet street was so peaceful. The screened-in porch was our favorite spot. The house was very clean and beautifully decorated. The walk to the beach was about 15-20 minutes. It was very doable, especially with a wagon to haul our young kids and gear. This is a wonderful place for a family to stay.

Excellent Vacation House

I took my two kids: 12 & 15 and they each brought a friend. We had plenty of room and the house was perfect. The location is great with easy access to the beach. They were able to ride their bikes to Seaside to eat and shop. We also rode our bikes to the Watercolor Boat House and rented kayaks. The only negatives were the master bed wasn't very comfortable and one of the bikes broke taking them almost 2 days to replace it. Also, the kitchen needs more mixing bowls and a pizza pan! Overall it was a great place and we are even talking about booking it again for next summer!
