TRUE BY OWNER RENTAL-This is a family owned and operated home. Our goal is to provide a five-star experience. We want to operate the kind of rental we would like to find on our vacation. We hope you enjoy our home as much as we do.

Burning Daylight is a custom home set on a rare coastal dune lake that looks out to the Gulf of Mexico. We have provided the perfect spot to relax and enjoy family time while having easy access to all that 30A has to offer. Hop on a kayak or stand-up-paddle board (provided for your use), and explore the lake and surrounding areas.

Triple master and Bunk Room design, a stay at Burning Daylight ensures private luxury baths for all and dedicated adult, kid and family spaces.

Each suite includes a private bath and sweeping lake views to watch the sunrise and sunset. Each room is also equipped with blinds, flat screen TVs and wifi, in case sunrises and sunsets aren't your thing.

The upstairs living area, offers a second spot for gathering or to escape for a quiet moment on the couch while enjoying views of Eastern Lake and the Gulf. Watch TV, play a game or just take a nap.

The Bunk Room sleeps five with custom built-in luxury bunks which include personal reading lights, a charging station and private storage for each occupant. The wall-mounted flat screen ensures all Bunk Room occupants have a perfect view, although sleep will overcome the most avid young television watcher after a day on the pristine Gulf Coast beaches.

The Bunk Room bathroom has a private WC, two showers with private changing areas and a triple-faucet trough sink, offering the perfect blend of private and shared spaces for young guests.

Burning Daylight's gourmet kitchen is outfitted with two full-size refrigerators, two quiet dishwashers and a top of the line four-burner gas stove. Coffee and cocktail stations are located in the butler's pantry, ensuring adequate space for the most avid cooks and those preparing and consuming cocktails. Carrera marble tops the center island, large enough for your whole group to gather around. The kitchen is fully stocked with a wide range of appliances and dinnerware for your group and any visitors. Seated meals for thirteen enjoy lake views and breezes.

The screened-in side porch offers a covered outdoor living and dining space large enough for al fresco dining, entertaining or gaming.

The beach is a short walk, less than 5 minutes on foot with PUBLIC BEACH ACCESS at the outfall. Or, launch in one of the included water conveyances from the dock and paddle to the outfall where the gulf and lake meet. Kids can swim in the protected pool at the intersection of gulf and lake water.

Burning Daylight guests can rinse off after a day at the beach in the private outdoor shower and drop towels and bathing suits off in the sand room to take advantage of the full size washer and dryer. Enjoy a game of ping pong in the garage while your bathing suit is on the spin cycle.

Burning Daylight sits on Eastern Lake, one of the 14 rare dune lakes that dot the 30A landscape. Easily explore all of 30A from Grayton Beach to Rosemary Beach and everywhere in-between. Seaside and all of the resort communities are an easy bike ride or short car ride away. Burn daylight shopping, dining and exploring the amenities each of these communities have to offer and then return to Burning Daylight's outdoor deck, where there's room for your whole group to watch the remaining daylight burn over the lake and the Gulf of Mexico simultaneously.

Can’t overemphasize how well appointed this place is for groups, especially those including the children. The kitchen has everything you need to cook for large groups, from two refrigerators and dishwashers to high quality cooking utensils, knives, etc. The upstairs has a bunk room with multiple beds and a bathroom with multiple showers making it very easy for groups traveling with multiple children. We’ll definitely be back.

This was a very last minute trip, and the choices for lodging were limited, so when this house popped up, it seemed too good to be true. We took a chance anyway and are so glad we did. House was spotlessly clean, and everything was exactly as described. Most refreshingly, the owners seem to stay on top of all the maintenance - the furniture, bedding, towels/linens, and beach/lake gear were in great condition - everything was luxury quality and nothing was worn out, moldy, or shabby. Honestly, the listing pictures don’t do it justice. Spotlessly clean, so much space, tons of pot/pan/dish choices - probably more than my own kitchen. Enough large pans/pots/bowls to prep large group meals. Sep laundry area with full sized washer/dryer made it easy to refresh beach/bath towels each night. Loved that the kitchen had two dishwashers and two refrigerators. Also loved that the bathrooms, kitchen, and laundry area actually had large supplies of soap, shampoo, detergent, garbage bags, dishwasher and laundry pods, etc. Cannot emphasize enough how relaxing it is not to have to worry about running to Publix the morning after you arrive for basic supplies because a rental only gives you one garbage bag and one dishwasher pod for the entire stay. Was concerned before we arrived about distance to the beach, but it really was just a short walk - about 5 minutes. These owners get it, and we have already recommended them to our friends who are asking about a beach stay. Thanks, Burning Daylight!

This house is an AMAZING place to stay! We had four adults and four teenagers and had so much space. The house is beautiful and incredibly clean. It has a dream kitchen, a ton of beach gear, beautiful views, and it’s a short walk or paddle to the beach. Andra is wonderful; very responsive and helpful. We will be staying here again. I cannot say enough great things about this property. My family of 10 visited *ages from 2 years of age to 72. This house was perfect for every one of us. Kayaking on the lake in the morning and then a 5-10 min walk to the beach then back to the house for a float on the lake. And the house cannot be more well stocked. We cooked all 7 days and loved every minute of it. The kitchen has it ALL. The kids all loved the game room upstairs, stocked with games, legos, books and views of the lake. You have everything you need for a day at the beach. From the wagon, to chairs, a canopy, boogie boards and sand toys. Just pack your swim suit, the house has it all. I want to thank Andra for all the communication. You were always quick to respond and our conversations always made me feel like we were friends. I would highly recommend this property and when we go back to 30A, we will look no farther than Burning Daylight.

Eastern Lake 30A Getaway

An excellent spot for an extended family vacation. Kitchen was comfortable and well stocked for cooking and entertaining a big family. We had 3 couples and 3 young adults... and another family stopped by just for dinner-plenty of room! View of the lake and proximity to the beach gives you a quiet retreat from the beach when you're ready for it. The short 5 minute walk to the beach was always pleasant—I'd recommend a golf cart rental for shuttling beach chairs and older folks.

Another Amazing Stay!

We absolutely love this VRBO home! As repeat guests, each visit reaffirms why we keep coming back. We've been traveling to 30A for many years, and this is by far our favorite stay. The house is impeccably maintained, cozy yet spacious, and fully stocked with everything you'll need and more! The amenities are top-notch, from the well-equipped kitchen (again, EVERY gadget and state-of-the-art appliances) to the comfortable beds. The views of Eastern Lake from just about every room are so special, and tons of water toys available for added water fun. We enjoyed fishing, kayaking, and paddle boarding daily. The location gives you the best of both worlds - lake front and beach views, with a short kayak or SUP trip or walk to the ocean. You won't find a better host in Andra. She's incredibly accommodating and friendly, ensuring every stay is seamless and feels like home. We simply can't say enough great things about Burning Daylight. We look forward to another visit soon. Highly recommend for anyone seeking the perfect getaway!

Better Than Advertised

This was our fourth trip in the past 6 years and this was by far our favorite house. Beautiful home, great location and amenities. Being on Eastern Lake front was amazing. Easy access to the beach from multiple locations. Everything was better than expected. Highly recommend.

It’s the little things


The little things make such a big difference! Host provided oranges for fresh squeezed orange juice, s’mores ingredients for nights around the fire pit, ground coffee/Kcups to get the morning going, and enough trash bags and soap for our big family! Thank a million for making our stay stress-free! The views of the dune lake were beautiful but the house was built and decorated just as beautifully! Kids loved having kayaks to paddle and the grown ups loved the all amenities as well!

Fantastic Property!!

Love this property. Great location, amenities, view and owner. Second year in a row we’ve stayed, and this year just as fabulous as the first. Highly recommend!

Fantastic spot on 30A

House was a great setup for a family. It is on Eastern Lake with a view of the gulf. First morning we were there a large blue heron was hanging out on the dock. Great start to the day. House had all of the water toys you could ask for. Very short walk to the beach. Great location on getting around 30A (once the bridge is fixed). Host had a s’mores kit ready for the kids which was a really nice touch. Would definitely consider staying again.
