How close is Sunshine, Seaside and Nobellah's Retreat/ Pet Friendly/ 4 Bikes to the airport?
This vacation home is 34.1 mi (50-min drive) away from the Northwest Florida Beaches Intl. Airport (ECP) airport, the closest popular airport to the property.
Just FYIâŠthe bunk room is on the 3rd floor accessible by a steep ladder with no air conditioning. It worked fine for us & the temperatures were thankfully moderate, but if we had toddlers or warmer weather, it would have been a problem.
Great proximity to the beach and seaside square. However, the home needs some attention as we had several minor issues through out the week. Overall ok but definitely needs some renovating soon.
2nd time staying at this property. We came in for the marathon and its location in town was perfect for walking over for the race. Home is well equipped and convenient to all the shopping, beach and restaurants.
My family and rescue dog LuLu loved this charming home so much! Great kitchen, really cool loft area for kids, and relaxing front porch with swing made us love this home. Canât wait to go back soon!
This has been one of my favorite rentals! This is a great location and I love how quiet the streets are. The mornings are so peaceful on the porch with coffee, surrounded by the beautiful American Beautyberry bushes! Would definitely stay here again!
Our stay involved 2 families - 11 in total. It included one family with 4 kids (14, 12, 9 & 5) & another family with 3 kids (12, 9 & 7). We had a great time in Seaside & found the house to be a great fit for our families.
Pros:
Absolutely loved the location - very convenient to beach, pool & amphitheater!
House layout was perfect for 2 families. Allowed for adults to wake up early & move around without waking up the entire group
Outdoor shower was perfect for rinsing off kids & beach equipment
House was well equipped for dogs: 2 fancy kennels in the foyer & other folding kennels available if needed
Bathroom facilities were modern but all associated with bedrooms. Late evening bathroom breaks after kids were in bed needed to be well planned
Kitchen was well equipped with cooking utensils but did not include any spices/condiments
Cons:
Compared to other places we've stayed in Seaside, the porch was very small
Stairs (more of a ladder really) up to the 3rd floor are very steep & require extreme caution to navigate. The steps & the bunk beds on the 3rd floor are definitely not for small children under the age of 4
Small problem with pool passes. Pool passes were not included for this property so we had to pay additional if we wanted to use the pools. We added these but they were not in the house when we arrived, so had some small issues accessing the pool the first day. We thought the pool passes were relatively expensive & not worth it as an add on
Check-in process was easy, with a code lock on the door. Kennels were provided for our dogs, so we were able to go to dinner without worrying about them. Easy walk to the beach access. Easy walk to central square. We all had a great time!
The Place was amazing based on location to everything. However it needs some Tender Love and Care for a few things that wouldn't cost much to fix. Great place for families though!
Great location and home. Kitchen was missing a skillet pan and it was brought over when we contacted them. Kitchen could use a few other supplies, but otherwise it was excellent. Super clean and very close to beach and main part of town.
August 2022. Not our first time in this area, but first time at this particular property. It has a wonderful floor plan, the photos were impressive, and it is steps from the beach. It could easily be a five star if the management company and owners would pay attention. It is such a shame that it is so neglected. Upstairs bedroom: most of the upstairs bathroom vanity cabinets will not close, towel rod on the floor with a hole in the wall where it belongs and drywall pieces on the floor, something sticky dripping down wall in toilet room under the light fixture, very musty smell in the bedroom and bathroom. Upstairs tandem bedroom: water leak stain on the ceiling, strong musty smell, and blood stains on the comforter. The attic loft: extremely musty smelling, only accessible due with a tall vertical ladder, blinds are dusty, torn and hanging. So we decided not to use the loft. Downstairs twin bedroom: blood stains on the mattress (there are not mattress covers/protectors on any mattress, only a fitted sheet), mold in shower. Downstairs queen bedroom: mold in shower. Kitchen: garbage disposal pours into the cabinet then out onto your feet because the PVC is not connected and loose (it is likely a long standing problem since the bottom of the cabinet is so warped), we chased a large roach on the counter into the sink to catch it and kill it. Living room: the 4 table chairs are stained and dirty, we used a towel to cover them so we could sit on them. Stains on couch and chair as well. Most of the extra quilts and pillows were on the floors of closets, not on the shelves so we did not use them. During our 4 night stay we made 2 calls, one upon arrival and another the day prior to departure, to the management company and left a messages with whomever answered the phone. We took photos just in case they wanted to know exactly what needs attention, but we did not have any return calls on these matters. I would not return to this particular home.
Good day, the house is really good, the cleaning of the house was perfect.
BUT the cleaning of the furniture doesnât invite you to seat down at the TV couch and also at the small dinning table.
Also you rent me the house for 4 days and you left me 2 trash bags, 2 bath soaps, etc.
You should leave at least the necessary things for your customers to keep the house clean and could take a daily shower, it supposed to replace a hotel.
Regards
Alejandro Alonso
Home is located in Seaside, close to the beach and the square. House was clean and had all amenities. The 3rd floor loft was warm during the day and being April the temp was not that bad. Canât imagine what itâs like during June and July. Overall itâs a nice house in a great location.
Did not receive communication like I was told. Then the week prior to my stay I get messages from the property manager asking for head counts because I would have to pay an extra $180 plus tax in order to be able to use certain facilities of Seaside. This would not have been an issue had it been in the description.
The house is super cute, and the location couldnât be much better. Very close to walk to the beach with easy access, and also to walk to the Seaside town square with the main shops and eating places. The property managers were great and easy to work with. We would definitely stay again, just for the location.
The house itself is charming especially the front room which you can see from the pictures. The porch was set up perfect to sit outside. The 2 downstairs bedrooms and 1 2nd floor bedroom are fine. Bathrooms arenât huge, but thereâs a high capacity tankless water heater so no problem competing for hot showers. There is also an outdoor shower with hot water which was fantastic to rinse off with after the beach. The downstairs bathrooms could use a little TLC, as there was mold visible in some places and one could definitely use new caulking. Sometimes the toilettes had issues flushing, but never bad enough to call the property managers. A little bit of work on the bathrooms by the owners could go a long way.
The kitchen was small, but had plenty of pots, pans, and dishes. Also about 10 corkscrews, lol. Good for cooking light meals.
The property listing could use a better description of âthe loftâ, which is up very steep stairs (more like a ladder) on a 3rd floor level. It isnât air conditioned, but with the A/C set cold on the 2nd floor and the fans in the loft running, it was pretty comfortable. There are 2 bunks (4 beds total) with chairs and a TV, and windows on all walls. Not great for sleeping adults, but our 3 kids (7, 10,13) LOVED it. It was like their own private kids room, with everything they wanted.
Overall, if you tried to push to the sleeping capacity of the house it could feel really crowded. Great house if you have kids that can climb into the loft. The house is set up great to enjoy the beach and all Seaside has to offer. Location, location, location.
only complaint was we had 9 adults & only 2 queen beds-the other 6 were twin beds. 2 twin beds was fine for our grown grandchildren but the other 4 in the 3rd floor loft were useless and no a/c up there! the 2 queen beds were not very comfortable and bedding was very outdated!
Great location! House has lots of room. Main living area larger than expected.
House / design is Great ! Location to beach and town center of Seaside as good as it gets. Rated a four because in need of a deep cleaning. Cleaning crew had to come in and clean areas they missed such as refrigerator & showers. Showed up immediately. Carpet needs to be replaced in the master (buckling and dingy). Bedding needs to be replaced . Typical items that get worn out w/ so many rentals. Kitchen appliances were outstanding. Bathrooms spacious. Bunk room very large, sleeps 4 easily. Main living area larger than pictures show. Will stay again given the chance mainly because of location and size of the house. Rental company good to deal with. Thank You we had a great stay!
We evacuated from Lake Charles,Louisiana during Hurricane Laura to Seaside. This home was perfect. GREAT location with beach access a block away .
Plenty of room for my family, and pet friendly (don't leave pets when evacuating)
Geraldine at Vacasa was very friendly and helpful. We did call about the AC not getting cool enough. Problem was promptly addressed and fixed.
The kitchen could have used some sharper knives and some mixing bowls. It had plenty for basic cooking. I cooked every meal( hurricane not vacation):) the living area could use an update. Seating was just ok. Television extremely small and not set up well with the furniture. We took butterfly chairs out of a bedroom to provide more seating. There were 6 of us.
Renting bicycles was key . Ride bikes everywhere. Town square, Modica market ( which has great selection of necessities and wine:)Even rode bikes to Publix, and Alys beach. There is a small guest house directly behind this home that is rented separately which could be used by friends or more family(called angels dune?)
Love Seaside. Would LOVE to go back .
Side note: the owners or the rental company were gracious enough when we had to extend our evacuation and the home was available, to let us continue with the lower rate we had originally rented the home for.
Thank you :)
Grateful from Lake Charles
