Excellent location across the road from a lovely beach. Nice staff at the front desk gave us an upgrade to sea view room which was much appreciated. Comfortable bed in a decent sized room. Breakfast was ok, not the best

Overall my stay was excellent. Staff were excellent. The room had a stunning view. The room on the 2nd floor was quite noisy . It could do with soundproofing. Bathroom could do with decorating.

The only thing is that due to its location the parking is complicated and smelly, we just left the car in there to the last day. The breakfast buffet was just good, but they don’t clean the used tables, so we moved the dirty dishes ti another table to be able to seat where we want, and you need to ask for juice etc; the staff were good and nice, but what happen is that there’re only two workers; they moved fast and wanted to help everyone but there were much of guest for only two staff. On the other hand Marea Alta has great menu and the staff was very professional and friendly; the paella was exquisite, I recommend it.

Location is very good. NIce walk and restaurants around. We also had a lot of free parking around hotel. Staff was very nice to us even gave me an upgrade and they wished me happy birthday at check out they remembers. Nice touch.

5 night stay in santander

A pleasant enough stay at the Rio Silken, a 5 night break mainly as a base for the football in Bilbao! Room was fine, bed was comfy for good nights rest, and the staff more than helpful and responsive.

Mainly good stay

Towels were changed almost daily. One issue we had was that tea and coffee were not automatically replenished. This had to be paid for. Not 4 star service. Hotel very well situated right in the front close to all the bars and restaurants and beaches of El Sardinero
