There is no auto-lock on the door. While I can lock it from the inside, I can’t lock it when I leave the room. The room’s security box also seems to be broken, as it took me more than 10 minutes to open it. The room is clean, and stuff is helpful.

Do not go here~

The second time I have been to this hotel. Unlike last time, the service this time was absolutely the worst. 1) Walls are thin and the hotel is noisy. Also, staff members (maybe cleaning) walk around the hallways since 7:30 in the morning with their walkie-talkies at max volume and speaking loudly. 2) Rooms were not very clean and had a severe issue with ants. Also, I requested the room to be cleaned in the morning (various times) only to come in the afternoon to find the room not cleaned. I couldn't rest in the room in the afternoon since they hadn't cleaned it, causing me to go outside and wait at a coffee shop for hours until it was ready. Usually, the room was only cleaned after 4 or 5 PM. 3) The worst came during check-out when the staff told me that they made a mistake and had forgotten to charge me for a day. I requested the receipt for the payment when I checked in to verify, only to be answered that they couldn't give me and that it would be sent to me later on via e-mail. Since I was in a hurry to go to the airport, I just paid the extra amount. I just arrived home and received both receipts only to find out that they charged me more than they should have.

Mercure SP Bela Vista was a great hotel for those on a budget. They have everything you need, and while there was no microwave in the room, I was able to heat up my food at the downstairs dining. I would compare this hotel to a Marriott Courtyard or Holiday Inn. The gym and sauna amenities were also a plus.

The hotel is nice although situated near a highway it’s a walkable distance to Ave. Paulista. What made this propriety horrible is the staff service. They are not willing to help. I understand that due to Covid there’s limited services However only I lady whom I forgot her name was able to get me ice at 2:01pm when the restaurant closed at 2pm. These little things make a huge difference. When I ordered food they forgot to bring me ice for my beverage and the response of the staff was well we are now closed. It’s not a hotel where they are willing or wanting to help you. If they want to they will. Horrible hospitality. Would not recommend or return to this property.
