Windy Hill Lodge perfectly bridges the outdoor space of the beautiful mountains and natural elements with the interior. Nature’s atmospheric effects will move you!
As you step into this no-pressure and immersive environment the great room features a 30 ft. Tennessee Field Stone fireplace, open kitchen and bar. The dining room branches off the great room with an exquisite view of Whiteside Mountain and the perfect sunset. Also included on the entry level floor is a secondary bedroom with a en-suite bathroom, a “Happy Place” library filled with books, games and arts and crafts.
Also on the main floor, is a powder room/half bath and laundry room which are easily accessible to guests.

The Lodge interior was professionally designed by top designers exhibiting the best nature of luxury. Built as unique and timeless for every client.

On the upper level along with a king bedroom is a bunk room with one queen bed and three twins, a en-suite bathroom with shower/tub combination and a kitchenette stocked with teas, coffees, mini fridge, sink and utensils. The tree house-inspired bunk room is a guaranteed fun time for kids. The spacious bunk room includes playful features like a charming secret reading nook, rock climbing walls, stage filled with a variety of costumes for every possible character. Also included is a fort with a swinging bridge that will make kids feel like they're up in the trees, a thrilling enviorment!

On the lower level along with the two king size beds are three twin beds and a concealed bed in a credenza with a large bathroom to service the twins and the concealed queen bed, movie theater, exercise and games rooms.

The 16 person movie theater offers the best in – home cinematic experience with relaxed ethos and thrilling surround sound. Popcorn lovers will rejoice when they see all the “Fixins” that accompany the nostalgic popcorn maker. The large popcorn bowls accommodate up to 10 hands at one time so no one has to wait!

The whole house is a marriage of an uncluttered feel and sophistication, a view from almost every room. Enjoy Windy Hill year around – seasonal patterns are endlessly fascinating. Welcome to the ‘well-worn” woods. Unwind in Sapphire at this lovely lodge. With 6 bedrooms including 3 king beds, 2 queen beds, and 2 twin beds, there's plenty of space for all guests. Our stay at Windy Hill Lodge was marvelous! The home is quite stunning inside and out. We spent a lot of time outside by the fireplace enjoying the views and the nice cool weather. We are a family of 8 (6 adults and 2 infants), the home is great for adult and kid fun! The kids room was perfect for our little ones and the adults enjoyed the game room, gym and movie theater. I would highly recommend this home! The host Susan is very attentive and answered any questions we had right away.

Windy Hill Lodge is an absolute paradise in the mountains! The cabin, and all of its amenities, were absolutely top-notch and the process of checking in couldn't have been easier! I don't know if there's better views anywhere in North Carolina! We enjoyed Windy Hill Lodge so much that we never even went into town
 Just stayed and enjoyed the views and the great breeze!We cannot wait to return next year!

It was wonderful !!!

The Windy Hill Lodge was even better than the pictures and Susan & Iric were so kind and helpful!We love the NC mountains and the Cashiers / Sapphire / Toxaway area seem to have an endless amount of great trails and beautiful waterfalls. Would recommend this property to everyone.

Mind-blowing amenities, location, and comfort

The pictures truly don’t do the property justice. The views are incredible, the house is enormous, there are tons of things to do inside and outside the property. We had three families including 8 kids between 7-14 and there was something for everyone. The game and movie rooms are awesome. Everyone can be together in the huge great room and dining room and kitchen. There is the main kitchen plus mini-kitchens in the upstairs mother in law suite and downstairs basement area. The deck is phenomenal. I could sit out there all day with the views and cozy fireplace. And it’s perfect for kids too—the pirate bedroom was eye popping, plus all the game areas kept them busy. The kitchen is beyond fully stocked. This is not a house you need to worry about whether there will be enough utensils or pots and pans. The rooms also felt very private despite all the people there. It was cold so we didn’t do as much hiking as we planned but there are tons of waterfalls and hikes of varying degrees of difficulty in the area. Downtown Cashiers took us about 25 mins to get to (it’s close but mountain roads can be slow) and it is a cute spot to shop and dine.
