Things to Know

This suite does not include a full kitchen - perfect for light meals or dining out at Sarasota’s incredible restaurants.

The house has a newer AC system to keep the space comfortable year-round. Please not the unit does not have access to a thermostat and the temperature is kept at 75 during the day and 74 at night year round.

To get to your private entry suite you will be required to walk around the house on a sidewalk. There is no entry through the front door of the house.

Very nice!

The space was clean, simple, and comfortable. There’s room for working and WiFi was good. Bed was comfortable and plenty of pillows were provided. The fridge is larger than a mini but smaller than full size which is nice. Ordering DoorDash or similar may be tricky because of location (around back of house) but with accurate communication I had no problem. The only things that I could have used were a wine bottle opener and maybe Splenda for my coffee. I would definitely book again if I’m in the area!!

Tyler was very quick to respond and a very good host! Property was nice and had extra supplies as needed. Overall, we had a very nice stay only negative was the room was a little warm but that was expected as advertised and the fan worked fine!

Checked in late, after 10 pm. Able to get into the room easily. Quiet home with other rooms. Quiet neighborhood. Very easy to get to. Host responded quickly. Overall cute, clean, great one room with space to stretch out.

Sunny & serene soul refresh

I was visiting Sarasota/ Siesta Key to see family and found this lovely place to make things convenient for everyone & I am so very glad I did. The wildlife, El Toro Bravo, Trader Joe's, Mellow Mushroom, Sunday drum circle at sunset, Oscar Sherer State Park, Sarasota Village (Gidgets, Orange Octopus, Casa Smeralda, the Roman organic Gelato place to name a few of the fabulous places), beaches, etc. made this a wonderful stay in this area. This cottage was like a relaxing & welcoming place to go to rest and recharge. The pictures posted were great yet there were even more amenities in person & the cottage was very spacious as well as the adjoining yard. Even the closet was beaching and beautiful. This cottage has everything you need for a short or extended stay. The sheets & towels were soft & plush. The bed was super comfortable. The owners were easily accessible & very helpful. The Beach Cottage notebook was so thorough, it could be published. I definitely recommend this place & would love to stay here again in the future.

Nice place, but too hot.

The stay would’ve been wonderful, if not for the fact that the room was kept much too hot. When reading the listing with it saying the house was left at 74 degrees, I believed that wouldn’t be an issue as I keep my house at this temperature. However, I was shocked to realize that the room itself felt much hotter than 74. Myself and my wife were sweating the entire evening, even without using a blanket to sleep. The ceiling fan and additional fan placed in the room did nothing to cool the area, but rather just pushed the warm air further on us both. Even taking a cold shower didn’t help, as the water dried almost instantly in the heat of the room.

Sunny Spot

This is a cute place, and the cheery photos on the website are all accurate. It was clean, the bed was very comfortable, and the location was quiet. The only drawback was that I had not read the description carefully. Coming from Arizona we were not accustomed to Florida's humidity, and soon discovered we couldn't control the thermostat. However, the fans were adequate, and overall, we had a pleasant stay.

Nice spot for a short trip

The location is great if you're looking for a short get away in Sarasota. This is the back of a remodeled house that has been sectioned off for multiple air b&b rooms. You walk through the bathroom when you enter the room which means no coming or going when someone is showering or using the bathroom. The bed was a little uncomfortable and I was glad that I brought my own pillows from home. The inside of the room is painted cinderblocks which gives it a basement feel with windows. It was clean and nice for spending a few days for a good price. If you're going to the beach, bring your own chairs and towels. The mini fridge was great for leftovers and our waters. We didnt cook or make coffee here but there is a microwave.

The property was definitely clean and welcoming. A lovely room. I had everything I needed! My only issue was the television. You could not watch anything without an account. You could watch YouTube. No biggie. It’s a lovely place to rest your head and a great location.
