Modern Cabin in Saugatuck with NEW Hot Tub!

We're so excited to share our home at Mulberry Pines with you! We look forward to you having a relaxing and fun-filled stay at our home away from home in the best little town in Michigan. Saugatuck/Douglas is known for its warm hospitality, progressive culture, great food, amazing outdoor spaces, and incredible art scene. Whatever season you are visiting, we know you will fall in love the same way we did with Saugatuck. Please do not hesitate to reach out with any questions before booking.

LOCATION: Nestled on half an acre between Lake Michigan and the Kalamazoo River, Mulberry Pines is a modern, quaint cabin under the pine trees. We're just a quick walk, bike, or drive to to the beach, hiking trails, or downtown Saugatuck and Douglas. Our home is styled after a Modern Cabin vibe, but still staying true to its history as a cabin getaway built in the 1940s.

BED/BATHS: The house offers a large Primary Suite with king bed and bathroom with a walk in shower and jacuzzi bathtub. Upstairs in the loft is the ideal getaway for a couple or family to feel up in the trees with a king bed and trundle twin bed. Located right off the kitchen is a the third bedroom with a queen bed and twin bunk beds, perfect for a couple or all the kids.

LIVING: The open concept living and dining room has a massive couch that can hold everyone staying, large Samsung Frame TV, wood burning fireplace, and long dining table that can hold up to 8 people.

KITCHEN: The kitchen is fully stocked with anything you need to cook an amazing dinner. From dishes, cups, wine glasses, silverware, bakeware, cookware, basic appliances, olive oil, salt and pepper, and spices, you will be ready to start cooking from the moment you arrive. The kitchen also has a bar counter top on the island with seating for 4 and small breakfast table with seating for 6 to enjoy a nice morning breakfast.

OUTDOORS: In the large front yard there is plenty of space for yard games and running around, with a fire-pit ready for roasting s'mores. The fenced in backyard is perfect for relaxation with a lounge set, dining table, and the star of the show, a brand new as of Summer 2025 6 person hot tub open year round. If you're staying during June, look out for the Mulberry Tree in the Backyard and feel free to pick and eat some.

PARKING: In the front of the house is a long drive way that has parking spaces for 3 cars; two in the parking area and one in front of the garage.

EV CHARGER: We have a Level 2 Enel X Juicebox 40-amp electric vehicle charger with a J1772 plug available for use during your stay. If you would like to use the charger during your stay, an additional $10/day charge will apply.

The house was spacious and clean and instructions for checkin and checkout were easy and straightforward. The host provides a lot of information about the area - places to see, restaurants, etc. The house is in a great location - everything is basically a 5 min drive away. We stayed here in the fall, so the wood fire place was so cozy and the outdoor fire pit fun for the kids to roast marshmallows. We loved our stay!

Perfect stay in Saugatuck

I hesitate to rave as much as I want to about this house because if other people know how fabulous it is it will be harder to book it in future, but WOW is it perfect. Immaculately clean, all the furnishings in new condition, a wonderful location, and communication was a breeze. Perfect for a quiet gals weekend out of the city, easy parking, a good kitchen! We loved it!!!

Wonderful stay!

We loved this tastefully decorated and roomy home away from home! We were able to enjoy the hot tub, roast some marshmallows, take a short drive to the beach to see the sunset, or into town for shopping or a meal. Seeing the deer and turkeys daily strolling around the lawn was also fun! Would definitely stay here again the next time we're in Saugatuck!

Beautiful Home, Perfect Location

Our family of 6 adults and 2 children had plenty of space to enjoy both indoor and outdoor. The landscaping is beautiful. Mulberry Pines is lovely and has everything you could possibly need to cook, play and relax. It is located between both Oval Beach and Douglas Beach enabling you to enjoy the sand, sun and Lake Michigan. Both the owner and property manager are excellent communicators. We would love to return.

Wonderful weekend in Douglas

Had a great time at this beautiful home with our extended family! The house has nice modern decor and amenities. The bedroom layout was perfect for our group of 7. Bathrooms were spotless. Enjoyed playing some of the games and chatting in the living room/dining room space. Our weekend’s weather was cool so we did not spend time outside other than our grandson, who loved the hammock (and the candy jar)! We will definitely be booking the house again.

The perfect ladies’ getaway!

Wow! What an amazing experience we had here at Mulberry Pines! The home is absolutely beautiful. Very quaint but still is roomy enough indoors and out. The hot tub and back patio was the perfect oasis. The neighborhood is quiet but still very close to everything. The home is very well stocked, super clean and easy to navigate. The highlight of the weekend was definitely the Sonos sound system throughout the home. The hosts were so nice and accommodating and quick to respond. We truly appreciated what the home had to offer and would definitely come here again. 10/10 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Clean and Comfortable!

Really enjoyed our recent stay in Saugatuck. Property was clean and very well stocked. We do a lot of cooking on our trips and this kitchen had everything we needed. The beds were very comfortable - also a big plus. Brandon was very responsive and helpful. Checkout procedure was not burdensome like some other places we've stayed at. And props to Brandon for labeling everything!! We didn't have to guess what the switches controlled or where to find things! Highly recommended.

Perfect Winter Getaway

Jacob and Ahmad were SUPERhosts. Messaged back quickly if we had any questions and gave us some great recommendations around the area. The house is furnished with a modern style, coupled with comfortable beds, smart TV's, and a fireplace for a cozy winter stay. Winter or summer, the property has a gorgeous front yard for a bonfire and backyard is fenced in and private with a hot tub and commercial outdoor heaters. The entire house is wired with sonos speakers and google home controls. We LOVED it. The neighborhood is quiet, short 5 minute drive to Oval Beach or downtown Saugatuck. Groceries, shops, and restaurants were all wonderful and we'll definitely be coming back. Really no negatives. Stay here if it's available!
