Amazing Loft with Parking and Deck above River Street by Lucky Savannah

Built in the 1800s, this historic loft was originally part of a cotton warehouse. It survived a major fire and turn as a vocational school before being completely remodeled to its current state as a luxury short-term rental.

Upon arrival you'll be able to utilize your private parking space directly in front of the home and head immediately upstairs to your urban oasis. The exposed brick you see as you ascend the stairs to the main level continues throughout the loft. Beams charred in the early 1900s add to the charm and warmth of this unique loft.

The full kitchen opens to the living room with a breakfast bar and an amazing view. You'll have everything you need to cook dinner or just to reheat some leftovers from one of the amazing restaurants at your doorstep. The beautiful living room with a comfortable linen sleeper sofa has a flat screen tv with cable, but with large picture windows and french doors to a small balcony, who needs tv?

A primary suite in the front of the home offers a true luxury experience with a Queen bed, seating area, and huge bathroom with a separate jetted tub and shower. The second bedroom, a cozy Queen, features original artwork, bold colors, and a large closet. The second full bath is right next to the bedroom, and has a tub/shower combination and plenty of counter space for getting ready for a night on the town.

When you're ready to enjoy the best view in Savannah, just head up your extra-wide stairs to the second floor to a huge rooftop deck with sweeping panoramic views of the Savannah River. Whether you're watching first Friday fireworks, overlooking the New Year's festivities, or just watching a beautiful sunset, this view is unmatched.

The unit location was perfect. The view fromThe balcony was amazing. However, the cleanliness of the unit lacked a lot. There were stains all over the carpet and dust over most of the unit. The furniture on the outdoor patio was so nasty we could not actually use it.

The views from the deck and balcony was amazing. Great for morning coffee as well as enjoying the evening on the deck with a glass of wine. Very clean throughout and would definitely stay here again.The location was ideal for walking to restaurants, shops both on the riverwalk as well as the shopping districts.

We absolutely loved the space and the view from the rooftop. It was so close to the city market as well as the Christmas market (JW Marriott) along the riverfront, shopping and all the restaurants. We are a family of three and we love to be in the heart of everything and within walking distance. Of course, please know that with this kind of convenience you will hear noise outside from the main bedroom and from Riverview side where all the shopping and restaurants are. The unit was very clean and we loved the kitchen. It also comes with a parking spot and we had great communication with Lucky Savannah. They were very easy to work with.

This is a very nicely furnished loft apartment. The main living area is open to the well equipped kitchen with views to the Savannah River and a small balcony. There are 3 coffee makers; normal drip, Nespresso, and Keurig. We were only supplied with one day of coffee, no creamer or sweetener, so bring your own. The rooftop deck was a great place for evening wine and snacks. Late October weather was perfect for it. The main bedroom is large with a seating area and television. There is no closet, so we draped our clothes over the couch and chair. Outlets are limited so you may want to bring a multiplier. As others noted, there is a lot of late night party and early morning truck traffic noise, so loud I thought the windows must be open. Bring earplugs and a sleep mask and embrace the area.The smaller bedroom is more cozy and quiet and has a door to the main bathroom. There's also a door to that bathroom from the hallway. The beds and linens in both rooms were comfortable.There are steep stairs to get from the street level to the living area and from the living area up to the rooftop deck. It may not be a good choice for families with small children or people with mobility problems.The entire apartment was clean and functional, including the steam shower. The dishwasher made for easy cleanup and the washer and dryer worked well. Interesting artwork and a vintage vibe made for a very enjoyable stay with easy access to everything the Historic District offers. We loved it!

It was a great weekend! Close to everything we wanted to do, we did not use our car the whole time we were there. Multiple Restraunts , shopping and the trolley tour is a must do. The unit was very clean, comfortable and well stocked. Our location had a lot of late night traffic but there were fans that helped block the partying. It was over Halloween. I would not suggest this unit if you have a small toddler due to the 2 steep flights of stairs , one from the entrance , the other to the upstairs deck. That was challenging but the views were wonderful and we loved being able to sit and watch all the river traffic. we will def be back.

We stayed in this building several times and in this unit twice. The location is great and surrounded by restaurants and shops. We enjoy sitting on the balcony watching the ships roll in and out. The home has everything you need. We were happy to see the A/C vent was no longer sticking out the front window so the shade could be closed. Our only complaint was the bed. Very uncomfortable and felt like it was lumpy and elevated at the feet. Otherwise, great place with everything one could need.

Very nice, with Stairs!

There are lots of stairs. The river view was great! The roof patio was very cool! The inside bedroom was very quiet, but the streetside bedroom was quite noisy late into the weekend nights. The TV, etc., could use some instructions. It was a great location for the touristy part of Savannah. We drove to the historical area as one of us had trouble walking, Not far, but traffic and parking were a challenge. Overall, really liked it. Lucky Savannah was very helpful and responsive!

Great downtown location but with a couple caveats

Pros: Great view of water and people downtown on the riverstreet. The kitchen is nice with all appliances needed for stay. Can walk to some restaurants.Cons: Can’t close privacy shutter of one of the windows in the main bedroom because of the humidifier/AC machine that attaches to it, so need to be aware of where you get dressed/undressed in the bedroom. Also, the large sliding door from the main bedroom to bathroom is almost impossible to close and open. We found ourselves just keeping it a quarter open to squeeze in and out to get to and from the bathroom.

Great area! Walk to anything you want to do

The property was super clean. Don't expect to have all the extra kitchen things and perks, as you won't need it. You can walk to anything you want. View of the river was awesome. Crowd watching was the best. If you are older and can't climb steps, leave this place out of your itenerary.

Perfect Location but needs some work!

This home couldn't be in a better location! Within walking distance of Historic Savannah, River Street and all sorts of restaurants. It is a lovely space that is big and bright with amazing views! However there are a few maintenance issues that need to be addressed. We had to have the after-hours manager come and unlock the door as the batteries in the smart lock were dead. There also isn't any lighting at the base of the stairs, either inside or outside of the unit. You can see that there is a potlight there that is burnt out, but the ceilings are very high so you can't change it without a very tall ladder. The AC also struggles to keep up with the weather outside. The unit didn't get below 76° at any point during our stay. They have put a portable AC unit in the master bedroom, but it has to run on high all the time and is VERY noisy. We were also surprized by the lack of things in the kitchen. We picked up milk for our coffee in the morning but assumed that there would be sugar in the unit. We were wrong. There wasn't a single thing extra in the unit at all. We couldn't even find garbage bags. We've stayed at many VRBO locations and this was the first time we've ever encountered that. They have a very impressive surround sound system/DVD/CD unit in the living room, but there wasn't any instructions on how to work it, so we didn't get to enjoy that at all. All in all, the location made up for the few issues that we had. Thanks for hosting us!

Beautiful Unit, So Hot

We were blown away by how lovely this property was. The location was so convenient to River Street and we loved the rooftop terrace. The kitchen was well equipped and we appreciated finding toiletries in the bathrooms. One problem: it was HOT. We are from the South and we are used to high temps, but the air conditioning was very clearly not working, and management must have known already because there was a portable, freestanding ac unit placed in the master bedroom, but it wasn’t sufficient for that room let alone the entire condo. There was an oscillating floor fan in the second bedroom that didn’t work, but we found a box fan in the closet. Outside temps were around 90° the whole time we were there, so it would have been nice to be able to cool off and I would have considered it a perfect rental aside from this issue.

Great view and location!

The view from the balcony and rooftop deck were beautiful! The location was perfect. It was within walking distance of the shops and restaurants which was convenient. The loft was very spacious as well. Definitely will come back!

Scenic loft

Property was very charming and a superb location. Right above River St. Old school brick interior and well appointed. Living spaces were decorated well. Mattresses must be replaced. Worst I've seen in a very long time. Super firm and sagged in the middle. Master bedroom is extremely hot as it faces the afternoon sun. They did have a fan, but it quit working.. Property manager did bring another one. Temp stayed around 80 in that room. The rest of the property was well cooled. It's not clear in the listing that you must go up a flight of 18 steps immediately inside the front door to get up to the living and sleeping space.
