Beautiful 6 Bed, 5 Bath Historic Savannah Home

From the manicured patio to the supple bed linens, we have worked hard to make this place the perfect home away from home. Tucked in the heart of historic downtown Savannah, this home still feels like a cozy escape. The house has been newly renovated and decorated to highlight its historic features like artistic crown moulding and timeless hardwood floors. We have all the modern amenities such as central air and a fully stocked kitchen with added details to make your stay extra special.

Our house, built in the 1800`s, has been remodeled to include modern amenities while still highlighting its historical features. The house is huge! Three floors with six bedrooms, five baths, two living rooms, two kitchens and a dining room. Outdoor space includes a front porch, back porch, front and back decks, and a sprawling back patio. The first floor has a living area in the front with huge french doors opening onto the picturesque front porch. The kitchen is fully stocked, and when we say fully stocked, what we mean is that we have all of the cookware, utensils and appliances that we would want in our own kitchen. In the back of the house you will find two bathrooms and two bedrooms and access to the back porch. The bedrooms were designed with comfort in mind: big beds that you can fall right into, ample pillows and thoughtful places for you to keep your things. In the bathrooms, we`ve gone the extra mile to cover all of your individual needs. The second floor hosts another living room, another fully stocked kitchen and a gorgeous dining room, as well as two more bedrooms and two more bathrooms. The second floor rounds out with access to furnished front and back decks. The top floor holds two more bedrooms and a bathroom. With stunning views of the sprawling back patio and beautiful light coming from three gorgeous skylights, the third floor further highlights the beauty of this huge historic house.

We`ve set up the house so that it is comfortable, beautiful and covers all of your needs and more! If there is anything else you need, we will help you find it. We want our property to feel like your home away from home and the perfect southern escape!

We are always reachable by phone or message and strive to make sure someone can be there within 30 minutes if there is ever an issue.

Our property is located in beautiful Historic Downtown Savannah. All of the food, shopping and sites are walking distance or a very quick drive. The neighborhood is clean and inviting with plenty of manicured parks to explore, unique shops to experience, and fine restaurants to try. A major Savannah attraction, Forsyth Park, is a mere 3 blocks away. There is a grocery store conveniently located 2 blocks from the house and one of our favorite little bakeries is steps from the house.

We provide our guests with a welcome book upon check-in which highlights some of our favorite dining experiences and attractions. We are happy to provide recommendations for anything else you want or need while you are visiting.

Historic Downtown Savannah feels big but remains small, thus most destinations are walkable. If you prefer to drive, street parking and parking garages are readily available. If you prefer to ride, we suggest you try the free shuttle that comes every 10 minutes and will give you a tour of the entire downtown.

Legal listing with Savannah: STVR - 01583 and 01584. All booking are subjected to a 13% Savannah motel and sales tax. Keep in mind the tax will be included.
Here a few house rules to abid by: Georgia noise ordinance quiet hours 9PM to 8AM. This is a Georgia law. That means NO CONVERSATION, MUSIC AND NOISE OF ANY KIND OUTSIDE. Our neighbors will call the police or call the property manager. This is strictly enforced and failure to comply will result in a $500 fine each time. Second violation will result in eviction.

9PM to 8AM there is no music allowed outside of any level. This is a disturbance to the community.

If the garbage is full please throw out the bag in the city garbage pals outside.

No smoking in the house

We had a family of 11 stay. There was plenty of room for all of us. Close proximity to most things. Host kept in contact with me the duration of our trip. The only negative is the small showers and if 2 or more showers were being used at the same time you may run out of hot water. Very minor issue for us. Overall it was a great place for our family.

The property was well appointed for our party of 9. The lower apartment is a 2bed/2bath and the upper unit is larger with 3 full bedrooms and 3 baths. Both apartments have their own kitchen and living room, so this would work well for large groups. There is a Kroger with a Starbucks and a pharmacy right next to the property and it’s open until 11, very convenient! Forsyth Park is within walking distance from this property, about a 5 minute walk through the beautiful neighborhood. Felt very safe here, the apartments are well secured. We had no problem getting to River Street from here, just a short drive. Both apartments are very well stocked with whatever you will need. Plenty of silverware, glassware, pots, towels, laundry detergent, dishwasher detergent, etc. Both apartments have their own washer/dryer. The apartments themselves were so charming and well preserved to maintain their historical style. Hosts were VERY responsive to anything we needed and they even checked on us to ensure we were off to a good start. We will definitely stay here again next time we venture to Savannah!

Overall the stay was amazing. Our only issue was that there were 2 less beds than what was in the original listing. They host has informed me that they have updated the listing. Again, the house was great, very spacious, and has a Winn Dixie about 3 minutes away via walk.

Suggestions

I would suggest more items in the kitchen-tin foil, saran wrap, tupperware etc. The 2nd floor back bedroom was very warm. Blinds were cracked. 3rd fl front bedroom AC was loud. Would suggest creating a binder with info for the property. We could not figure out how to turn down the volume on the TV downstairs.

Great House - Roomy!!

This was a lovely property. Rooms were spacious and comfortable. This is 2 apartments with a shared entry so there are 2 kitchens, 2 living rooms, etc - which was very convenient. The house is right down the street from a great bakery. Close to everything. The house is older so not replete with a electrical outlet (or USB) ports every 5 feet but still just fine! Would stay again

Fun girls weekend get away!

Although the home is very old, it was good for needs. A few minor negatives...the coffee pot was tiny, especially with 6 guests. We spoke with the property manager and requested a larger coffee pot and some extra blankets. Unfortunately, they never arrived. Otherwise, all was good.

Dirty and in need of some TLC and better management.

I booked this property on the late side (8 weeks out) as I was waiting on an accurate head count from family traveling in from out of town. I rented this house to host 10 ppl (which ended up being 8 because of family illness) for a long wknd celebrating my daughter's college graduation. I started to feel uneasy when I had to leave more than one message ONE DAY before checking in as to why I had not received directions on entering the property. Side note - we rent from VRBO often and have never had to track down directions for check in, obtaining keys, local areas of interest, etc.....There was a 3rd party management company (called REFLECT, RELAX or something like that that handled this house).The house is comprised of two adjacent apartments that are not good when hosting a large gathering - no large common area to chill. The house was dirty - dirt and hair on floors, nasty bathrooms with smudge on shower doors. We found a used makeup remover cloth on the floor in out master bedroom. The sheets in a few of the rooms appeared slept in. Most of us showered in lukewarm water as there was no HOT the entire wknd. My father/wife slept in back room on main floor. The bathroom next to their room had a bathroom sink stopper that wouldn't come "up" and my dad spent a silly amount of time to pry it up. There were more lights that didn't work than did. I even unplugged and plugged things in to other outlets to make sure it was not the outlets. There were easily 2 dozen lights out in the entire property - including the master closet. Lastly, the kitchen had one out of 5 wall outlets that worked (and no, there were no fuse blown or GFIs to reset ) - made using more than a coffee maker and griddle impossible. I gave this property one star because it had enough bed rooms and bathrooms to accommodate our group. Besides that, I would never rent this property again.
