Charming Apartment on Abercorn- Off Street Parking Included!

From the deceiving quaint outside view you would never guess that up the stairs you would be greeted by a charming and warm two bedroom apartment! The living room is at the top of the stairs with an enormous 45 inch flat screen smart tv and reclining lounge chair. Skylight windows brighten up the room and let in natural light adding to the warm open feeling in a contradictory small space. Past the living room is a bathroom with shower/bath. The bathroom has a door to the master bedroom which has a king size bed. White linens, wood furniture, and natural light from the windows makes the space seem clean, inviting and fresh. Two closets and another flat screen tv are also in the main bedroom.

The second bedroom is equipped with two twin beds, a dresser, and full wardrobe. It also has a flat screen tv of its own for privacy from the rest of the house to relax. The kitchen is just around the corner which has all up to date appliances including a front loading washer and dryer. Full oven and dishwasher, deep stainless steel sink and plenty of storage.

Hardwood floors are throughout the home and many windows brighten up the space with natural light. Each room has a ceiling fan and many lighting options. Downstairs the owner has supplied two bicycles for rides around forsyth park which is just one street over. Perfect for a day of frisbee or a relaxing picnic with your friends and family. This apartment is in the best location, right by the park and close to coffee shops, grocery, and walking distance to downtown.

It was a perfect location!

We absolutely loved our stay here. It was in a perfect location close to grocery store, Forsyth Park and walking distance to most everything else. The apartment was large enough to accommodate our needs and had eveyrhing you need for your stay. The off street parking was great as well. This will be my go to place in the future when visiting Savannah.

This stay was neither the best nor worst for me. The apartment is small and cute. Could it use some work and some upgrades? Absolutely. The location is fantastic and is one of the main reasons we booked it. There is a Kroger less than a block away which was also very convenient (and turned out to be a lifesaver for ice and cold things). The management company was responsive and nice, parking was fantastic, and check-out procedures were the easiest I’ve ever had. Negatives: The refrigerator was broken on Friday when we got there. Initially we thought it just needed some time to cool down from being shut off or something, but that was not the case at all. We drove from NC so everything we brought that needed to be refrigerated didn’t make it, nor did our delicious (and expensive) leftovers from dinner. The next morning, I let the management company know, and I was told they already knew about the problem. NOT OK. They knew ahead of time and never bothered to tell us OR solve the problem ahead of time. After I got upset by that, they offered to bring a mini-frig. It was delivered quickly, and that was a nice gesture. However, it should have already been there since they knew the main one was broken. It took a few hours to cool down so it wasn’t really useable until Saturday night. We left Sunday. I understand this isn’t a show-stopper, but it was very annoying—especially for the price we paid. Frankly, we’d have booked a hotel, but we wanted a kitchen.

Location was important to us and was a big factor in choosing this unit. Bed was comfortable, kitchen was serviceable. Unit comes with two bicycles, which, although we didn't use them, is a plus. The bad side is that it feels like the owners are doing just enough to keep the unit in rent. Only one kitchen towel, which was dirty. While we were both in the living room, the shower curtain fell down. We got it back in place, but it didn't feel sturdy. I have never seen a water saver shower head that restricted water flow as much as this one did. Yes, I tried all adjustments available. This is a serviceable unit, one block from Forsyth Park and the DOT line. Plenty of bath towels, water was very hot once it arrived. With a little sprucing up it would be a great place to stay.

It would be hard to find a greater location. A beautiful park a block away in one direction. A Kroger supermarket a block away in another direction and at least two excellent restaurants within easy walking distance. Parking is a breeze. However, the water pressure in the shower is a little better than a dribble. The accommodation is right in line with it’s reasonable price. If someone is expecting modern luxury, then look elsewhere. Would we stay there again, I would say yes.

The location was great - could walk to almost everything. Overall the apartment was good, perhaps a bit smaller that the pictures portrayed. Bedroom sizes were good. The king bed in master was very comfortable. However the twin beds were not good. They creaked, were wobbly and not very comfortable. Bathroom was small and the water pressure in the shower was very weak. The kitchen was equipped with all the basics. The apartment was clean for the most part. The floors appeared clean, but when walking around on them, out feet and socks got quite dirty. The management company was very professional and easy to work with, accommodating to a bit of an early check-in.

Great Location, But Apartment Needs Major Updates

We recently stayed at this apartment in the historic district of Savannah, and while the location was unbeatable—right next to Forsyth Park and within a 20-minute walk to most attractions—the unit itself left much to be desired. The apartment is in an old converted attic above a cleaners business, which adds some charm but also highlights its age. Unfortunately, the space feels very worn and in need of a significant remodel. There was a constant hum from the collection of portable and window air conditioners, and the overall condition of the apartment showed a lot of wear, with peeling paint, dusty closets, and creaky floors. The water pressure was also quite low. The beds were comfortable enough, and while the kitchen was small, it was adequate for basic needs. However, the apartment had a distinctly barebones feel, like a place college students might rent on a budget. Overall, while the location is fantastic, the apartment itself didn’t live up to the charm of the surrounding historic area. It would benefit greatly from some updates and a bit more attention to cleanliness and maintenance.

This location was wonderful! Right next to Forsyth Park, shopping, and the heart of Downtown Savannah. Negatives are there are multiple reviews that the microwave is broken and the host has yet to fix it. The floors were very dirty and the water pressure/hot water did not work well.

Savannah Spring Break

The location of this property was excellent! It was so close to Forsyth Park, Bardo Hotel (fabulous restaurant) and lots of local attractions. There was absolutely zero noise from the laundromat downstairs. Suggestions for the rental company: add some hooks to the back of doors or on the walls, just for hanging towels/dirty clothes, etc. Fix the window in the primary. It does not close at the top and it gets very loud when the construction begins in the early morning. Add a hook for the hairdryer on the side of the bathroom cabinet. Fix the microwave, it is on it's last leg. The light switch in the living room did not work for both the fan/light which meant if you wanted the fan on, then the light had to be on as well. I could not figure out how to fix that. It did get VERY hot in the unit and it was barely spring so I can't imagine the dead of Summer. It would be helpful to have some additional floor fans for the rooms. The kitchen was well equipped for quick meals. Would 100% stay here again! Thank you :-)
