Have a piece of Savannah's storied past right outside your door with Southern Belle's Savannah vacation homes near Colonial Park Cemetery. Built in 1750, this cemetery was the city's primary burial ground for over 100 years, and it contains a large number of historic graves. The cemetery has been closed to new burials for a long time, but its historic presence remains and it is now the oldest Savannah municipal cemetery that is still intact. You can have it as your vacation backdrop when you stay in our vacation rentals Savannah GA near the cemetery on Oglethorpe Avenue.

One of our available Savannah vacation rentals in this area is the Oglethorpe Manor Garden. This is one of our smaller Savannah vacation homes with room for four guests in two bedrooms with one bathroom. It overlooks the cemetery on the north end and is also close to a number of other Savannah attractions like the Owens-Thomas House and Oglethorpe Square. Once you've settled into one of our vacation rentals Savannah GA, you can continue with the best part of exploring Savannah. Guests always love that you can walk nearly anywhere in Savannah and it's especially true when you stay in our ideally located Savannah vacation rentals. Positioned right in the heart of the historic downtown, you only need to go outside your door and start walking in the direction of what you want to see.

From this house, you can stroll north to find the Davenport House Museum, the Owens-Thomas House and Leopold's Ice Cream. Also to the north are Columbia Square and Warren Square. If you continue down Oglethorpe to the east, you'll eventually run across the Webb Military Museum and Crawford Square if you take a slight turn to the south. Directly south you'll find the Colonial Park Cemetery, and just south of that is the Cathedral of St. John the Baptist, as well as Troup Square and Lafayette Square and also the Flannery O'Connor Childhood Home. Head west on Oglethorpe from this property and you'll discover the Juliette Gordon Low Birthplaces, plus Chippewa and Wright squares and also the Harper Fowlkes House.

All of these sights are within a short radius of this property and there's so much more to do in Savannah beyond that. Most Savannah visitors are also keen to explore Forsyth Park, which is the biggest park in the city and has a number of famous attractions like the iron fountain and the fragrant gardens. Another popular spot is River Street along the Savannah River. In Savannah's past, it was home to rows of warehouses serving the city's busy shipping industry. Those warehouses have been transformed into a wide range of restaurants, galleries, shops and more.

If you have time to spend outside of Savannah, you can't miss taking a trip over to Tybee Island. It's only 30 minutes from downtown and offers all the sand and surf you could want. Make sure to visit the Tybee Lighthouse on the north end of the island as well as some of the local waterfront restaurants.

Southern Belle Pool
Our guests have access to our beautiful, heated pool that is located at 19 Silver Ave, Tybee Island, GA 31328. For our Savannah properties it is a scenic 25-minute drive through Wilmington and Whitemarsh Island, taking you over the Savannah River Delta onto Tybee Island.
The Pool is open during the below dates and times.

March 1 - Oct 31: Open 7 days a week from 10am-5pm.
Nov 1 - Feb 28/29: Open Friday and Saturday from 10am-5pm

Additional Pool Hours available during the off-season are listed below. If these dates fall in the middle of the week, the pool will be open as listed below and every Friday and Saturday.

Overpriced & Underwhelming

The directions to find property/parking/entrance were clear as mud. To top it off, I had to pay for street parking ont op of the EXTREMELY OVERPRICED accommodations. The host fee was 1 & œ times the cost of a nights stay. Not sure what that covers. The empty ice tray in the freezer or the stellar directions for the parking area? The HVAC (guessing) was so loud in the living room closet that we had to pause conversation everytime it kicked on (very frequent). The stairway to the 2nd floor space was directly off the living room and we could hear every word/step through the thin uninsulated walls/ceilings. The pool is a half hour drive away and only open 10am to 5pm works great with a 4pm check-in & 10am check-out especially since you can't go after you check out (company policy, totally missed the idea of Southern bell, unless your meaning bigotry rather than hospitality), another useless item for the ridiculous host fee? If it's not clear I do NOT recommend Southern Bell & will NOT be a returning customer.

Over all not a horrible stay, I do wish they had disclosed that the elevator mechanics were in the closet pictured in living area, very loud and intrusive. I would have chosen another unit had they disclosed that ahead of time. In general the unit needs a face lift, chipping paint, dirty furniture...etc. and that is all i have to say about that.

Savannah Made Easy!

This property was perfect for my husband &I and our 2 small dogs. Bottom floor of building so some noise from upstairs & elevator, but understandable for historic building. Great back courtyard for our small dogs to roam in. Plenty of supplies/dishes. Property manager very responsive to any issues. No parking available for this unit. Can street park with app but we chose nearby garage 2 blocks away at State street for reasonable rate & never even moved our vehicle all week. Walking distance to everything & convenient Trolley stop across the street. Will definitely use again for our next stay!

Overall the property was clean and had a nice lay out. Bathroom could use some updating - a little dingy and the drain would not empty while showering. Our third night we could not sleep due to the massive party being thrown above us despite there being a no party rule/ no gathering rule. Waiting to hear back from management about how they plan to handle our final night’s stay. Hopefully they offer a reasonable solution.

Perfect long weekend

This is located in a great spot in town. We didn't need to drive at all. Close to shopping and Leopolds. Don't miss the ice cream, its worth waiting in line. There is a parking garage about 2 blocks away on State street. It was close and reasonably priced if you dont want to street park. Enclosed back yard is nice and private. Beds are comfy. Some noise from the passers-by on the street but not at all disruptive. Lovely furnishings and full washer and dryer a huge plus. This was our 2nd time staying here and we will again!

The place bites

Our stay started out okay, the place was fine. I think the place has fleas or something. My sister and I starting seeing bites on our bodies. We were doing yoga daily in the living room and seen some fleas or it could be bed bugs? I'm not sure but I put bug spray on before bed our last night. I did not report to manager since we were checking out and there was already an issue with parking - the book in the rental states that parking in the alley is available to our unit, but the management calls me while out to dinner that it is not, etc... that in a vague email that there is street parking available - lot's of back and forth that the book needs to be changed, etc. If the parking in back is not for the unit just say it clearly in email and remove from book. We did visit the pool which was lovely.

Property is in great location, so much to see and do in walking distance. Property is nice inside, tastefully done, people very friendly. We enjoyed dinner and beverages at 1790 restaurant, only 1/2 block away. We had a great time!

Great location

The place was clean and comfortable. We walked everywhere we went pretty much. Parking got a little pricey as you have to park out front and pay the meter. There was one time where we had to park a couple blocks away. I wish there had been a washcloth in the kitchen and maybe better pans for cooking. Overall we really enjoyed our stay. There is so much to do and see in Savannah. Never a dull moment!

This is a basement unit some noise is acceptable. However when you find out the elevator machinery room for the unit upstairs is in your living room and ajoins your second bedroom the noise is unbearable all hours of the night as the elevator goes up and down as people come and go from the oven upstairs. We would not rent this particular unit again.

Very nice property

Great property in a prime location for getting around however the listing was a little unclear as to where the pool was located. The photos made it seem like it wasn’t far from the property however it’s located on Tybee island which requires a car to get to. Besides this minor disappointment on a hot weekend, the property was great!

Nice clean rental in a great location. The unit is very spacious with a washer and dryer. There is even a parking space on the rear of the property! A nice bonus is access to a pool on Tybee island just off the beach!!!

Excellent location and space!

Pros: Incredibly spacious unit for two people. Clean, comfortable place to stay. Very safe neighborhood and perfect location for visiting this historic district- everything in walking distance! Parking space was a huge plus and make our stay so much easier. Cons: the noise from those staying upstairs actually woke us up in the middle of the night. Part of this is just the old building and wood floors. However, having a large group staying above us who got in after a night out after midnight, yelling and running up and down the stairs was a huge annoyance. This seems to be a common problem, and not one I’m sure this property can really control. Just be aware if you book. We felt all the pros completely outweighed this, just be prepared! For the property managers: We both found it odd that there is no where to put soaps/show stuff in the shower. A hanging shower caddy would go a LONG way in making it just a little more comfortable. I know this seems picky, but something we both commented on. Not having anywhere to place soap (especially bar soap), except the floor, isn’t the best. Otherwise, everything was wonderful!

Awesome location

Awesome location and comfy feel. The courtyard was a plus with our dogs and the free parking was a score. We literally could walk anyway within minutes. Only thing I would suggest is a full length mirror in the bedrooms so everyone doesn’t have to rely on the bathroom mirror. Will be back.
